Cozy Converted Barn near Butchart Gardens

Our space is located close to the airport and BC ferry terminals. The Butchart Gardens (a top tourist attraction), hiking trails, and shopping are less than 10 minutes away. There is easy access to main highways and downtown Victoria is only a 15-minute drive. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). MAXIMUM 14 NIGHT STAY

We speak English, French & ASL.

The Space
Located on the property close to our family home, our recently converted barn is clean, bright, and cozy. We live in a wonderful popular road for its yummy farm-fresh fruit orchards and vineyards nearby. We are close to kayaking and hiking trails. Close to the amazing Butchart Garden and Butterfly Gardens. This is a popular location for cycling and triathlon events.
Our first floor has a TV, family room & ping-pong table. The kitchen has basic cooking tools with a fridge, stove, oven & dishwasher.
The spacious second floor has a bathroom with a standing shower, a private bedroom with a queen bed. The upstairs common area will accommodate 3 people with a pull out king bed and single day bed.

Extra bedding/floor mattress is available for children.
This barn is suited for families rather than party groups.

Guest access
You will have access to the whole barn minus a few storage cupboards.
Access to a small grassy area outside of the barn.

Good getaway

Nice, quiet, clean and spacious quarters. Was not too remote from shopping and restaurant conveniences. Well-equipped kitchen though our use was minimal. It was a little on the chilly side even with the split heater running, but there were fleece throws that helped. My tall husband 193cm did have to stop a bit upstairs, but as we spent the majority of time downstairs that was only an occasional issue Overall it was great, but it is definitely not a dedicated vrbo rental (weight bench/set in the bedroom, as well as lots of private storage throughout and TV set up for owners). But it was fine for our use. Thanks!

Perfect spot to crash for marathon

Between the massive pouf, the couch and two recliners, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spot to crash before and after running the Victoria marathon. It was an easy and predictable drive into downtown, a straight shot on the freeway, and right by Butchart gardens. Highly recommend.

Lack of kitchen equipmen and supples,. Front door entrance was very unsafe.The weight bench in upper room was unsafe. No curtains in windows. Quiet rural setting. The host was wonderful.Was very clean.

Wonderful spot

A beautiful little converted barn tucked away in a beautiful part of the Saanich Peninsula. Everything was fantastic. Rules were clear and easy to follow. The kids loved ping pong table.

Great place

We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed dining in the nearby town and easily traveled the 25 minutes to Victoria to catch the sights. The barn was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our time there.

Lovely and Private

We enjoyed our stay here so much. Check in was super easy, there was a lot of privacy. The yard and trees are so pretty. Loved the neighborhood and the family farm stands. It definitely had everything we needed and we felt very comfortable here. Would stay here again for sure. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Definitely recommend

In all honesty, I was surprised at how nice this place is. In my experience with other rentals, photos can be deceiving, so I was very happy to find this as advertised. My son chose this stay in Victoria to celebrate his high school graduation. He loved the weights, ping pong, comfy furniture, and the ability to cook. Christy was very helpful and easy to communicate with when I had questions. It was fine for us, but a possible con I think people may like to know is this is a guest house, close to the main house. The kitchen/living room area has lots of windows, none of which have any form of coverings. It really opens up the space, but it does not give you privacy. Upstairs, in the sleeping areas, there are curtains if you wish to cover the big beautiful windows. All in all, we really loved it and would stay again.

Sooooooo awesome!!

I feel very thankful to have been able to grab this place to stay with my sister brother-in-law and niblings. We had a wonderful time going to Buchart gardens and Victoria!!! Everything was perfect, close and lovely! They were even wonderful enough to let us check in early after an extremely long day at the gardens. I will highly recommend you to all the people I know in the Everett area coming to Victoria. Fabulous stay. perfect location. thank you thank you thank you.

Spacious and spotless

We had a fantastic two nights here. The property was everything we hoped it would be. There was plenty of space for our family of five. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. The table tennis was a hit with our teens. Perhaps my most enduring memory, however, will be how incredibly clean everything was. This was an excellent place to stay. Thank you, Christy.

Family fun

Great property and well suited to our family. The table tennis was a hit for everyone. Lots of help as we had car troubles from the start of our stay but still managed to enjoy ourselves. Recommend this property to anyone.

Not what we were looking for

This property was accurately portrayed in the listing, but had some drawbacks. The downstairs had no curtains for the windows. The large bed was a foam mattress, although the smaller bed was a regular mattress. The shower had some mold. There were some bare wires and burned out light bulbs.

Great place to relax!

We enjoyed the cozy converted barn! It was comfortable and spacious, and we loved the ping pong table! Only complaint was the bathroom is upstairs, but not a deal-breaker. We'd definitely stay again!

Great place away from it all

Well appointed place in a quiet neighborhood. Just what we needed so our kids could get a quiet sleep after busy days of travel. Ping pong and the giant bean bag were hits. And the barn fit us just fine. We enjoyed seeing the friendly dogs and spying on chickens through the fence. Would stay again!

Converted Barn

Lovely place to stay, much bigger than expected. A nearby drive from the ferry, in a nice quiet countryside spot. On the road the barn is on there is lots of roadside stands selling jams, berries and flowers from the local farms. The place is very clean and well maintained inside. We very much appreciated the table tennis! Spotted a hummingbird outside the window and received a sweet welcome from Murphy the dog!

Perfect in every way

I did the planning because my travel agent was a no show. I think I did great at finding the perfect fit for my two sons and myself to enjoy Victoria, Butchart Gardens and all the other sights. Such a lovely home just 12 to 15 minutes to whatever caught our interest and a quiet comfortable retreat to sleep at. This is the best of travel and restful vacation. Lovely hosts, lovely home just the best.
