The location was fine but Vik is very rainy so we didn’t walk anyways. The staff was fine - not outgoing but not rude. The room was very comfortable and the shower was great. Breakfast had good options but wasn’t the best I’ve had at a hotel . We didn’t eat at the restaurant bc it’s pretty much expensive and there are better options in town

Lovely hotel with helpful staff and a delicious restaurant located within the space. Rooms have everything you need from tissues to a hair blow dryer. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. Very family friendly. There are no elevators but only 3 floors. A friendly kitty roams the property and is a familiar face at the hotel as it lives nearby with its own family.

Smartly appointed, decent sized room with beautiful view of the trolls of Reynisfjara (minus the fog!). Staff were helpful and pleasant and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Beautiful lobby and bar area. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening - options were plentiful and tantalizing and the dishes we chose (cocktails, a citrus salad & Arctic char) were delicious!

Overall, I didn’t have a bad experience but I wouldn’t stay here again. The room I was given was tiny and had a tiny bathroom. It seemed like a room they recently renovated from an older hotel in front of it, which is connected via a short tunnel. The breakfast was okay - the bacon was soggy and the eggs were not great. Other than that, everyone there was lovely and very nice.
