The good, the bad and the smelly... avoid!
In short:
-Good: View, location
-Bad: Rude caretakers, false internet claims
-Smelly: Potato smell in toilet
We do not recommend this rental!
More details below:
First the good, the view is fantastic. The location is about half way up to the chairlift from the village below. Kitchen had everything we needed.
Next the bad, starting with check-in there was nobody there to greet us which created confusion and delay on how to get in, which apartment was ours, where to park, etc, ...
Before renting, we asked the owner how good/fast the internet was & he misrepresented it by saying it was normal. It is certainly not normal at all :-( Basically it is shared between all the apartments & the resulting speed day or night is 1-2Mbs!
On our booking confirmation, it clearly says checkout is 11AM but the caretakers showed up, without masks, an hour early demanding we vacate the property so they could clean. This again caused confusion, delay and stress for us as we were still packing and cleaning up while they interrupted us more than once!
The smelly is the toilet...OMG never in our lives have we smelled just an incredibly strong potato smell which means mold spores. It's a good thing we had our masks as we had to wear them just to go in there!
There is a shared table/chairs on the photos in a common area which we never got to use as it was appropriated by one of the other chalets guests :-(
The parking is quite confusing: There are only two official spots for 3-apartments down a steep incline about 50 steps below the chalet. You can however drive just behind the chalet on a gravel access road. According to the caretakers, this parking behind the chalet is only for unloading your bags. However, when we arrived there already 4 cars permanently parked, two below & two behind. So we literally had nowhere to unload our bags & nowhere to park :( There were some large stones placed awkwardly where if we rearranged the cars & the stones, we could fit 3 cars instead of 2. So obviously we did this with the help of out chalet neighbours but apparently the caretakers were not happy with us!?
In closing, if you still want to risk booking this chalet, you will get rude/pushy caretakers, slow internet, smelly/moldy toilet & nowhere to officially park. We would not recommend this chalet & will not be returning.
