The host was great! Unfortunately I am not sure this is the best place for a long term stay. The apartment is facing a busy street and there is very little sound and light insulation, so if you are a light sleeper it is hard to sleep as you can hear all of the buses, cars, and people that pass the unit at all hours. The pictures of the unit are also a little out of date. The kitchen is much smaller than what is pictured and there is no dishwasher. But 'dishwasher' is not one of the listed amenities, so that isn't an issue. Some of the appliances are very nice, like the fridge and stove and there is sufficient cookware. However, there isn't any counter space which makes cooking a bit difficult. The garbage disposal also does not work and there were a couple times when the sink did not drain. tl;dr this is a good unit for a college-aged person who doesn't need to be comfortable and is more affordable than other option in the DC area. But I would not recommend it for a longer stay.
