Good location near DC, dining options within walking distance, close to the metro. Nothing fancy but a good hotel to stay. Underground parking without valet service is a huge plus for me.

Northern Virginia hotel stay

If you have children, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. They’re doing a lot of maintenance currently including an elevator which is currently out of order and an upcoming power outage. Due to the elevator repair you’ll either have to wait or walk up flights of stairs to get to your room - neither is ideal with a young child. Their room s are big, but someone manage to let every noise from the street into the room. There are several buses that service the area and you’ll hear every single one of them pass by the hotel. Higher floors might be done, but not the 3rd floor and not for rooms which face the back of the property. Also, if you’re driving here don’t follow Google Maps or you’ll be taken to the back of the property. The front is off Rte 1. The HVAC units are loud turning on and off, again not ideal with a young child. We have to raise the temperature during the evening so it wouldn’t kick on. The showers don’t have any partitions between it and the rest of the bathroom so water gets everywhere unless the showerhead is positioned just perfectly, which is far from ideal. The breakfast is included and that’s the best part about it. The “eggs” looked and tasted like they came from a box or powder. The rest of it was a bunch of carbs outside of a few pieces of fruit and a daily selection of sausage. The location is good and there are lots of restaurants nearby. If you have children, I’m confident you can do better.

Great Location

The breakfast was good. Staff was nice. One of the elevators was being worked on which made for some waiting or taking the stairs. Within walking distance of metro which was a plus.

Brooklyn stay here a little different for me. I was not on vacation or here for work. I was displaced from my apartment, so I lived here for two weeks and they are kind enough to allow animals with a fee. That being said, unless your animals are in cages, they will not service your room, so I would have to go to the front desk and ask for my own sheets and linen, but there were certain staff members who would get upset about when I would ask for linens, but obviously I was still working my regular job so I didn’t really have control over when I was able to ask for sheets. They have complementary breakfast that they rotate every day sometimes the same stuff two days in a row, but with added new additions. The food isn’t the best but it’s free and complementary and it’s good to just get some sort of food in your system. They don’t offer room service, but there is another hotel connected to this one that has dinner. Overall, the rooms were clean my sink smell a little weird but it didn’t bother me too much. If you’re looking to buy a quick snack though, I would avoid this place because of course they hike up prices of super cheap items like drinks and snacks. Overall, my day was OK. I was a little frustrated by the hospitality in the evenings when I would ask for extra sheets and trash bags, just because I wasn’t giving them on a regular basis. Also, the photo of the pool online is not their pool, look somewhere else if you want a pool included.

Spacious, Clean, and Cozy – Loved It!

I had a great stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Arlington Crystal City. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The bed and pillows were cozy, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The breakfast was also really good with a nice variety of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the DC area!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn. While we were there the elevator was under maintenance so there were back ups when waiting especially in the morning. But by the end of our stay both were working. Breakfast was good, coffee could use work. The eggs were always fresh, if they had French toast sticks they would be hard. Cereal was always good and they had oatmeal each morning. You could make your own waffles and there was always two pastry’s. But the coffee needed help, they only offered Light Roast and it was bad. I am a medium/dark drinker so that could be the issue too. Our room was excellent. We had a 1 bedroom that had a living area with small pull out couch, lots of room with a bar area that had microwave, fridge, coffee maker and sink. We had lots of room. My only complaint with the room is the bathroom. The sink is open to the room and then the door to the toilet/shower was so awkward. The light for the toilet/shower was on the outside of the room and the door opened into the toilet/shower (barely clearing the toilet). So if you needed to use the toilet in the middle of the night the bright light illuminated the entire room while you were squeezing your way into the toilet/shower. Honestly the doorway could have been completely changed to close in the entire area. This is my only complaint about the room. We never heard airplanes despite being so close to the airport, we felt safe and were about a block away from a CVS. We were close to the Metro.

Rude check in.

Check-in can set the tone for the whole stay. The young lady who checked us in was rude and demanding, insisting that my spouse produce ID, even though I had already shown mine (same last name.) We are an elderly couple, disabled and we're from travel. For a while, it looked like we were not going to find the other ID. When I questioned why it was necessary since I had shown mine, the clerk stated that many people show up at the wrong hotel. (??Hello?) She had already found our reservation. It appeared that she was just being a control freak. NOT a welcome interaction.

We have stayed here several times, but this time wasn't the best. Only one of two elevators were operational. They have also gone to no maid service for stays of less than 4 days. The breakfast was good. Parking was convenient but expensive ($42/night).
