The only good thing about this place is the free breakfast buffet, everything else is terrible. The AC doesn't work, the rooms are run down and dirty, asked for extra pillows and was told there were none, the elevators sound like they will break at any time. Overall it's a 1 star hotel masquerading as a 3 star

It is at nice place and have so many nearby places to eat.. walkable to metro. But room had issues.. main door won’t lock properly, bathroom door was broken.. long lines for morning breakfast but overall it was nice experience.. staff was supportive and tried best to fix but some issues were not resolvable

Good location near places to eat from. BUT the best of this hotel is the staff, from management to maintenance to the Chef. Andrew, Kanisha, Kaylin and Gunay at the front desk were professional and attentive. Devonte and Daniel were always polite to assist my needs. Mr C, Mr Jo and John in the kitchen were extraordinary with the breakfast, not only with the presentation that made it attractive to our eyes, but the hot and delicious variety they placed every morning that really got our tummies happy and full. Thank you to everyone involved with the service provided, even Emmanuel at the valet parking and we didn’t have a car LOL. This is our second home to stay for our future vacation. We recommend it.

I had a great stay at Hyatt Place! The location is convenient—close to Union Market and easily accessible to major attractions. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with modern touches and a cozy bed. I especially appreciated the friendly staff at the front desk—they were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was decent and had a nice variety, though the seating area could get crowded at times. The neighborhood is still developing, so it felt a bit quiet in the evenings, but overall, I felt safe. Great value for the location and comfort—would definitely stay here again!

It was really hard to find the entrance. GPS took us to the NY Ave door where there is no parking or even a place to pull in. The entrance is on the other side of the building on another street. The area is very crowded and the streets are very narrow. It took us about 1/2 an hour after we found the hotel to find the entrance. AND the only parking is valet parking for $65/night.

Family Getaway

We had high hopes for our stay at this location based on the pictures and reviews. I am not one to give bad reviews but this was not a good hotel to stay at. When we pulled up, I knew I should have looked for a different hotel. The hotel is situated next to an abandoned lot. A couple of blocks surrounding the hotel, the homes are more lower class. We got in early, they let us keep our luggage store in a room until our room was ready. That was a huge perk. We asked for daily room cleaning. Our room was somewhat one time when we were there. We stopped daily at the front desk and asked for towels every night. The rooms are definitely worn. The pictures make the appear brand new and crisp. Our refrigerator was left open so we didn't trust it. We finally emptied our own garbage and put it in the hallway on the the third day. The hotel did come that day to change garbage and collect the dirty towels and left all of it in a plastic garbage bag outside of our door for a day. We ran out of toilet paper in our room. The sink is funky and will leave water everywhere so be careful. The beds are okay. Nothing was said that you needed to use your key fob to ride the elevator up or enter the building. That would have been nice to know. The food was okay from the breakfast buffet. They didn't have anything out about food delivery options until we were leaving. A lot of outside noise, especially above the pool level. Staff was nice.
The water spout is shirt so it will leak on the counter if you are not careful.
