Taxis, rental cars & parking Taxi service is plentiful and economical in DC. In fact, DC has one of the highest taxi-to-citizen ratios in the country, with more than 6,000 taxis servicing the city. Taxis use a metered system just like every other city in the country. All taxis also accept credit and debit cards as payment, as well as cash. You can also download the DC Taxi Rider app for your iPhone or Android, which allows you to choose from a regular, large, or wheelchair-accessible taxi, see a fare and time estimate before you hail the cab, and pay either through the app or in the vehicle. Of course, some visitors choose to drive their own vehicles. No cash is required, and tip is handled in the ride fare. Numerous car options are available, and you can even share a ride.

LATE CHECK OUT FEE: $200. While we understand time can get away from us all, our cleaners do only have a few hours to clean, sanitize, and return the unit to the condition it was found in prior to the next guests arrival in a few hours. Late check out puts the next guest check in at jeopardy and costs us addition fees as the cleaner is paid to wait for the property to be vacated. Thanks for the understanding!

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
I would strongly advise against staying at this property. From the moment we arrived, the surrounding area felt unsafe and unsuitable for families. Drug transactions appeared to be taking place in broad daylight near the property, creating an environment that was both uncomfortable and concerning. The corridor leading to our unit was frequently filled with the pungent smell of marijuana and lingering smoke. Unfortunately, this became more than just an inconvenience. My son, who has a respiratory condition, suffered a severe bronchospasm after exposure and required evaluation in the emergency room. When I contacted the host regarding these serious concerns, I received no meaningful response. Despite the health emergency and the fact that we were forced to leave and book a hotel in a safer, more family-friendly area, the owner took no responsibility and did not offer any accommodation, discount, or reimbursement. VRBO also attempted to reach the host on our behalf without success. The lack of communication, accountability, and concern for guest safety was extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property and would encourage families, especially those traveling with children or individuals with respiratory issues, to consider other accommodations

Liked: Location
Interior was clean and as advertised in the pictures. It is a second floor unit so there is a flight of stairs to access it. It's a nicely refinished older building.Neighborhood was a little sketchy, but we didn't have any issues. Lots of trash on the street and some guys hanging out on the street corner during the day.The title for the property was "Quaint 2BD Condo City living flatPrivate Parking", but we didn't have any private parking. I sent two messages to the owner inquiring on the parking, but he never replied. It's frustrating because I selected this property because of the private parking. Two nights we were able to park in front of the condo, one night a few houses down, and the night we came back later (10:30pm) we had to drive around to find a spot 2 blocks away.
