Only downfall was the parking. We were $75 a night and it was parked in an alley covered with dirt dust and some form of sap. Almost like someone dumped pop / soda or alcohol all over the brand new vehicle. At one point when we walked by there were people sitting on the car. Very frustrating. Hotel, staff and everything else was amazing.

Everything was quite up to par except for the restaurant was NOT child friendly and if one has a picky child like I do, not having a child friendly restaurant is challenging.

We were in DC for 5 days and 4 nights- and literally ONLY spent time in the room to sleep, which met our needs. For this property to be called luxury, well, it doesn’t live up to that standard in my opinion. Staff is very friendly and nice, but the property just feels worn and in need of a good clean and update. The room was adequate, the furniture looked worn, the plugs were loose and sometimes didn’t allow for electronics to charge, the bathroom fixtures esp the sink were cloudy, the mirror was peeling, towels were thin ish and not soft on the skin. The bed was fine, and yes they do not use a top sheet, just a duvet. It was adequate and VERY central, close to Metro stations, restaurants, and shopping. I might think twice about spending the $ for a “luxury” stay here- there are many other places around. Again STAFF WAS VERY NICE!

The hotel was the perfect size if looking for something that’s not a massive chain hotel. The ambiance was cozy and professional. The French theme was welcoming and all staff were friendly. The valet team was awesome and provided first class service. The shower was amazing!!! They had coffee and water in The room which was perfect. The Opaline restaurant was a pleasant treat for breakfast. They had the best bacon!!!! Staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was perfect for sightseeing in DC-less than a half mile from Mall. The hotel is in an old building that has its own charm. However, the rooms need to be refreshed - minor, but annoying plumbing issues like a running toilet and leaking sink faucet. Mirrors with lights were peeling from the inside exposing bulbs. The fitted sheets don’t seem to get changed…found someone else’s sequin in the bed…hmm…. Also they don’t place a flat sheet between the bed and the duvet - I hope the duvet is changed for every user - if so, this would be ok. The doorbell outside the rooms don’t always work. Also, it looked like there was work being done in the bathroom so there was exposed picture hangers and markings on the wall. Also, when we arrived only a few outlets worked, which made charging electronics difficult!! This was reported to the front desk and immediately they responded with staff to make an assessment. They were eventually able to get some outlets to work, but not all. I would consider this hotel again.

It was nice. The staff inside were very friendly and helpful, outside I couldn’t say the same. The only real problem we had was the mattress and pillows, they seemed old and worn, maybe need to be replaced. The location was excellent as we were able to walk everywhere.

Great Stay!!

My wife says that I’m “bougie” when it comes to hotels. When really I just like a clean and comfy place to stay/sleep that I can’t hear everything else going on in the hotel. This one met every mark with those aspects! It’s well taken care of, all the employees were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and it is very very quiet!! It also has a great location for walking around to visit sights, and is quite close to a metro station as well! Overall a great experience!

Staff were the best!!!!! One working elevator on Sunday morning. Families with strollers had to take the stairs from the 11th floor. One robe for a double queen room. Broken refrigerator. One cup (for the coffee machine) and one glass for 2 people. NONE of the ice machines were working on any floor we visited. Mattress cover wouldn't stay on the bed (no elastic?).
