Comfortable secluded home near downtown Wausau, 11 minutes to Rib Mountain, Granite Peak ski area. There are 3 bedrooms with room for 7 guests. Suite off of large bedroom has shower and whirlpool tub. For security purposes only, the exterior offers surveillance camera's located at the garage (Covering the driveway and street), front door (Covering front entrance), back deck (Covering deck and back yard), master bedroom deck (Covering master bedroom deck and back yard), and lower level back door (covering back entrance).

My family & I have been staying in VRBOs and other lodging options for over a decade and this is the WORST experience we have ever had. When were arrived, there was a presumably dirty blue and white quilt on the table, but we graciously overlooked this minor annoyance. As another guest noted in their review, the house itself needs updates. Our elderly parents joined us for this trip and there was no railing to hold onto as we walked into the home; when ice formed on the bottom step this was dangerous. Additionally, the living room is sunken in, another trip-and-fall hazard for the 70-year-old crowd. We left the home in better shape than we found it, yet we were charged an additional 200 as the host accused us of stealing a pillow. He also claimed a set of sheets was stained, though no proof was given. We truly enjoyed our time with our extended family but the trip was soured by the follow-up interaction with this host. Do not recommend. Book with caution.

Large lovely comfortable home for five ladies. Nice quiet safe neighborhood. Everything was clean. Lots of hot water. Good WiFi connection. closets and storage space galore. Light switches are labeled. Well stocked home with all the essentials. organized check in and out. Great communication and very accommodating. Careful with the kitchen sink as it drips and the weeds are overgrown at the front walkway. We would definitely come back to enjoy another relaxing weekend!

Great house in a beautiful quiet neighborhood! Close and easy to get to everything. The house was very clean and roomy. The back porch patio was so nice to sit and relax on! There were 4 of us and we all had our own bed and 3 bathrooms to share which was so nice! Our host was easy and quick to communicate with too. We have this house saved as a favorite and will definitely come back!

Week long stay!

The Secluded Serenity was absolutely amazing! The last minute booking and allowing our furry family members join us was also a HUGE plus for us. The wonderful wildlife and beautiful nature surrounding the property was incredible. If you have any ounce of stress before coming to the property, it will melt away after a couple days in the peaceful atmosphere it offers.

We were really pleased with the accommodations in Wausau for our family Thanksgiving weekend. We were especially grateful for a fully functioning kitchen with many supplies to use for all the cooking and baking we did while there. Everything was comfortable--a great hideaway up on the hill.
