Classic 1925 Salmon Riverfront Cabin

Hiljattain restauroitu Mt. Hupun mökki istuu yksityisellä 1/2 hehtaarin ikäisellä metsäalueella. Siitä hetkestä, kun astut ulos autostasi, koet, mitä tuntuu olevan poissa kaikesta. Aistisi tulee olemaan iloisia hätäisen veden ääneen ja metsän nähtävyyksistä ja hajuista.
Idyllisellä mökillämme on täysi katettu eteinen kuisti, jossa on mittatilaustyönä valmistettu ruokapöytä ja Adirondack-tuolit. Lisäksi on katettu puoli patio kylpytynnyri ja kaasu BBQ. Sisällä löydät kauniin joki rock takka, oksainen mänty seinät, täysin päivitetty keittiö, sekä uudempi matto, patjat ja liinavaatteet.
Tämä on yhdyskäytäväkaappisi kaikille seikkailijoille, jotka haluavat: hiihtää rinteitä, maastopyörää Sandy Ridge Trail -järjestelmällä tai vaeltaa useita kauniita polkuja vanhojen kasvumetsien läpi. This is a really cozy and pleasant cabin, right on the Salmon River. We especially enjoyed the sound system with the turntable and an extensive album collection. The kitchen is well appointed. The hot tub was also great, as well as the wood stove and firewood. Our only concern is that there were a LOT of flies in the cabin -- we swatted literally dozens of flies inside the cabin every day, and there were only more each morning. The doors were closed, so these were NOT coming from outside. Hopefully they can address this matter. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Loved that the kitchen had spices and everything we needed to cook meals. It was a bit cold in January to utilize that awesome covered porch, but looks amazing for summer. We loved making fires inside the wood burning stove and used the fire pit outside as well. The river view was fantastic! Bathrooms are a little cramped, but I was so thankful we had three of them. Loved the record player and the cabin vibe. Host was flexible and responsive. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

My stay was wonderful and this property is perfect! I stayed for a week with my elderly dog for a final hiking trip before his hip dysplasia becomes too much for him to bear. The home is located close to trails, offers a main floor master suite, a beautiful outdoor area, hot tub, full kitchen, plenty of space and is riverfront. My dog loved sniffing around and watching the river flow by. He easily napped on the porch when he has never liked sleeping outside. I enjoyed the quiet, the feeling of seclusion close to anything I needed and being able to truly relax. I’ve never felt more at home. There was a blue jay that stopped by daily as well as butterflies. Plus there were minimal bugs. Thank you so much to the host. I’ll be back.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful. The cabin is well-equipped and has everything you need! And what a nice, sharp set of knives. The water pressure in the shower is amazing, and the showerhead is nice and high — great for us tall Europeans.Some downsides would be that the cleaning isn't done properly, both inside and outside. There are lots of cobwebs under the canopy and between the windows and screens. Nothing in the cabin is level, like the fridge, doors, or the washing machine, which makes it so the door can’t stay open and it gets moldy. We would also appreciate having curtains in the living room and bathroom. But overall very happy!

This is a lovely cabin! The river-front location is amazing. Very private yet easily accessible. We traveled for a ling weekend away with 6 women - easily accommodated in the 3 bedrooms. It was amazing to have 3 bathrooms! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was a great kitchen to cook in! This is a cozy cabin and it stayed lovely and cool with windows open in the summer (it has AC but we didn't need it). We spent tons of time on the gorgeous front porch which has comfy chairs and a great dining table too. The seating area by the river is great and you can get down a path to the river easily. We'd recommend this place and hope to stay here again!

Great quiet stay by the river

Super cute cabin to get away from it all. Right in the river too. We spent most of our time down at the fire pit by the river. The cabin is good too. One hundred year old property but well maintained and updated. Only tv is upstairs which is fine with us as we were not there for tv. Quiet area, but close to a few restaurants and a grocery store. Will for sure stay here again! Also, owner was very quick with responding back. Was construction on what looks like a new garage going on, but nothing was being worked on while we were there.

This is a great family vacation spot . Having 3 bathrooms with 3 showers was a real plus a group of 9. The location is near several family friendly hiking areas (Wildwood Rec Area, Zig Zag Falls, Mirror Lake). Government Camp and Timberline Lodge are a short drive away. A grocery store was a 2-minute drive away. The firepit overlooking the river was where we spent most of our time. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all. I would highly recommend this property

Place was great. If you plan on fishing, do it at dusk. Teenage son liked the record player. Wish it wasn't the dry season so we could have had a fire. Coming from the midwest, the lack of bugs was a welcome surprise.

We absolutely loved our stay! We traveled to the area with our three older boys (18-23) and loved every minute of it. The record player was used daily and we spent a great deal of time outside, playing cards and enjoying the river. Thank you!

Beautiful cabin. The rhododendrons were in bloom making the landscaped property really shine. We really enjoyed sitting out on the large deck that had both a large dining table and a separate seating area with Adirondack chairs. The inside of the cabin was beautiful and very relaxing. The king bedroom on the ground floor was quite large with an attached bathroom containing laundry machines and a walkin-in shower. The queen bedroom on the ground floor was fairly small, but did its job :). The main bathroom on the ground floor also has a walkin shower, making it very easy for my 75 year old mother in law to get in and out. The kitchen is fully stocked and roomy. Barbecuing was great right outside the kitchen. The third Queen bedroom on the second floor required going up steep stairs with no risers, so save that for the young and able. There is a 3rd full bath on the second floor as well. The firepit overlooking the river was very enjoyable. The path down to the river was too steep for my MIL, but enjoyable for the rest of us.

Beautiful location.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. Purpose was for a family reunion. The Mt. Hood area has so much to see and do! Great location. Cabin sits on the bank of the Salmon River. Close to lors of hikes. Maybe 20-30 min. to Mt. Hood.We had 1 hiccup with the cabin. Owners did not notify us that there was ongoing construction. They are adding a garage w/loft. I would not have booked if I had known ahead of time. Owner compensated 100 and stopped construction for our stay. Kitchen was extremely well stocked and they have a great LP collection.We brought our own, but they had plenty of firewood available. There is a little grocery store about 10 minutes away. Very private and serene. Would stay here again.

Awesome Cabin

Perfect location. Very secluded, but less than a mile from restaurants and grocery store. We spent the majority of the time at the fire pit overlooking the river. The cabin was very large and could accommodate multiple families.
