Stayed with my daughters for a dance competition. The area felt sketchy with a view of a discount hotel right across the street and several homeless people traveling through the area. Heard gunshots the first night. Someone down the hall set the smoke alarm off in the middle of night. So noisy hearing street racing too. My girls were so excited for the pool but it was very unkept with slime around the tile rim and tiles fallen off and sitting in the bottom of the pool. Lots of dirt and leaves floating in pool. Pile of sand and dirt sitting in the bottom of the hot tub. The water did not smell of chlorine or taste of salt so I didn’t want us to swim but my kids would have thrown a fit. Our room had lots of wear and tear from previous guests through the years. A cracked door. The tv stand was all scuffed up making it less than what I expected from pictures. The chair and sofa needed to be shampooed. So gross I didn’t want anyone to sit on them. The sofa bed had gross old food under the mattress I discovered after setting it up. The carpets had several stains and the bathroom floor was sticky. The beds were not anything special. At least they had enough pillows. They only had 3 towels in the bathroom even though I checked in with 2 adults and 2 kids. Also we were on the top floor and the elevator was so slow so I took the stair well and the light was out, scary. These kind of things can’t be overlooked with hotels I depend on for safety, comfort and cleanliness.
How has no one noticed how filthy the furniture is. I covered it in a sheet before anyone sat down.
Just shampoo it, please! So gross!

The shower in our bathroom did not work. Water came out of the main faucet, but not from the showerhead. I let front desk know - they said someone looked at it and it was fine, but that is not the case. Either someone did not look at it or they just checked the main faucet. This was so frustrating and disappointing to not be able to shower. My daughter had a sports event so showering is important. She had to just do a rinse off from the main faucet. Could not take a bath as no way to plug the drain. I asked for a discount on my stay, but was told since I booked through Expedia, they (Comfort Inn) couldn’t do anything. This was another frustrating thing. I did a chat with Expedia and just got a $50 credit for a future booking. That is not helpful at all! We don’t travel a lot, so I don’t even know when we’d use this. I expected a discount now, on this stay!!! A discount on this stay is what I would like for the major inconvenience of not having a working shower! Also, we were on the 4th floor, and the phones did not work. People I talked to at the hotel were nice, but apparently they can’t do anything because of how I booked it - through Expedia. I expected some type of discount on my stay as I expected a working shower. I’d like to talk to an actual person about this, but that seems almost impossible. It’s either a live chat or an incredibly long wait time to call. I can’t just wait on the phone all day. Please do better at handling things like this.

Toilet didn’t work well. Pool and hot tub were disappointing and small. Didn’t maintain trash take out and my cards didn’t work the full stay, tryin to get into the door with kids and handfuls of stuff was not fun to deal with and walking all the way around just to get inside.

The hotel itself isn’t maintained very well. The ‘hot tub’ was cold and no one told me when I checked in it was broken. That was the main reason for picking this hotel so it was very disappointing. Lots of poor paint jobs with tape up for days. Drywall dust in the lobby from a hole in the wall no one was working on. Only saving part was the price was cheap and the staff that checked me in was nice.
