I stayed at Majestic City Suites Curaçao (Jan 19–23, 2026) after a bad experience at another hotel and unfortunately encountered more issues here.
Check-in was scheduled for 3:00 p.m. I completed paperwork around 2:50 p.m. and was told the room would be ready shortly. After returning past 3:20 p.m., the room was still not ready and no timeframe was given. Staff blamed my “last-minute booking,” yet another guest arriving around 3:30 p.m. was told the same thing, indicating an operational problem. This was especially difficult as I was traveling with my 82-year-old relative.
Front desk professionalism was also lacking. Tina, who was present during the check-in delay, later failed to acknowledge or assist me when I requested beach towels—no greeting or response. Another staff member had to step in. This made me uncomfortable raising other concerns, including an issue with the shower drain.
I also observed a roach in the hallway, raising cleanliness concerns. I have video documentation supporting these issues.
Overall, poor communication, unprofessional service, and sanitation concerns made this stay far below expectations. I would not recommend this property without significant improvements.
