My family spent Christmas here. The staff and the atmosphere made it feel like home. We have stayed here before and could not say enough good things about it. I was able to cook a big dinner and we enjoyed being close to Busch Gardens where we went daily.

The kitchen was nice, but there were no skillets to use, only 2 pots, which made it difficult to make eggs for breakfast. Our room was located on the first floor near elevators and a maintenance room. We ended up hearing loud “water” noises at all times of the day and during the middle of the night. The noises during the night were loud enough to wake us up. We would stay here again as long as we didn’t get the same room.

My stay here was great! I was alone visiting my boyfriend, and it was easy for me to go pick him up and come back whenever I needed. The room was pretty clean, but it wasn't "perfection." There was some dust buildup and crumbs under the bed and behind the table. I only noticed because I dropped some things and saw it all when I went to retrieve my items. I opted out of housekeeping because I wanted privacy for the weekend with my boyfriend. Also loved the easy and very early check-in! I was checked in by 11 am with minimal issues (My card declined and my bank was giving me issues. Not at all the hotel's fault and they were very understanding!) Also, love that it is 18+ check-in minimum since both my boyfriend and I are only 20 years old, and it is so hard to find places to stay since most are 21+. My only complaint is I did find a couple live roaches in my room by the last day...one I found alive in my water bottle (SO GROSS) and another I found later crawling on the wall when I was getting ready to check out. It could've been because I didn't have any housekeeping come in, but I don't know. The hotel is pet-friendly, and you could hear a couple of dogs barking down the hall, but the rooms are pretty soundproof because it is so large! Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely be back if I ever needed!

All was good except the room across from us had a dog that was left alone all morning and barked non stopping. It was not pleasant at all to be waken up because of it. The hotel MUST reconsider the pet policy and either ban it or fine the people who did not care to disturb the whole floor. That was unacceptable.

Our shower curtain was moldy. My comforter had large brown stains on it. While using the gym a HUGE cockroach crawled across the floor. The pool was absolutely disgusting. Cloudy, moldy walls, moldy filter, hair floating, stains everywhere. Disappointing when you choose the hotel because it has an outdoor pool. Was happy to be leaving and Definitely would not stay there again.

Interior appears to updated. Could clean the corners better. Exterior is horrible. Ripped screens, dirty exterior, exterior door by my room was filthy, exterior plantings need to be maintained. I walked around the building numerous times. The back is nasty. Needs to be painted and/or pressure sprayed. Disappointed in this Marriott property. Not up to beautiful Williamsburg standards.
