The property was great except no electric vehicle charging point and needing to pay for parking. The spa felt very strange. Very dark, strange to walk through a pub to gain access. It felt like it was an environment to encourage sexual activity not for friends having a break together

Me and my partner's stay was amazing. You do truly get what you pay for. The rooms were clean, had a great layout, and the hot tub in our room was amazing, with a gorgeous view to go with it. The staff were friendly and welcoming and gave us a tour of the grounds. The spa was clean and helped provide that relaxing environment. Overall Lakes Hotel and Spa is a perfect place to stay for a long weekend getaway to just relax.

Bit disappointing

Booked a 2night stay for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Hotel itself is beautiful and very modern. Breakfast was amazing. So much choice. One thing we were a little disappointed about was the Spa set up - bit strange having never experienced something like this before. A Spa in our eyes is a relaxing place to have a swim, jacuzzi etc, sun loungers, read a book kind of thing. But we were faced with a drinking atmosphere and people drinking alcohol in and around the pool as the bar opened into the spa. The room had no mini fridge, which was quite a surprise as it's a five star resort or no gym.

My friend and I recently stayed here and it was fantastic. We were greeted by Noel at the barrier who was extremely welcoming and never failed to smile when we walked past during our stay. All staff were lovely and nothing was too much for them. We were kindly upgraded to a hot tub room on arrival which was a lovely surprise and really made our stay. Room was excellent. Location was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Firstly, Patrick was so welcoming and lovely. Every time we saw him he had a big smile on his face and had lots of helpful information about Bowness and Windermere. The spa was really nice and a good place to relax. The food in Misumi was 10/10, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. So I would definitely recommend booking this when you stay. On the second night, we ate outside on the terrace and had tapas which was also delicious. Alex was really helpful and went the extra mile, got us blankets and put the fire on for us when we were cold. I would definitely recommend staying at the Lakes hotel and spa for a special occasion, it is worth the money.

So good we plan to return

Lakes hotel and Spa has exceeded our expectations in every way. The service was outstanding -the staff were so professional and friendly and went above and beyond; the room was lovely and clean with the added bonus of a hot-tub, the spa looked great though we didn't get a chance to enjoy it as stopped only 1 night. The food at Mizumi was delicious and the buffet breakfast catered to all dietary needs with plenty of options. We plan on returning soon. The location was great too, a 2 min walk to lake Windermere's Bowness ferry/boats and shops.

I stayed here last week for 1 night and it was amazing from start to finish. I received suck a personal and friendly welcome from Noel on the security gate, then received a lovely tour, prosecco in hand, from Mark. All the team members where lovely but I forgot to ask their names. I stayed in room 138 and I have to come back, the bed was so comfy ( where are the pillows from??) and the hot tub with that view.....heaven. I had room service which was yummy, a cocktail in the bar, used the spa and then the brekkie in the morning was yum. I cannot wait to come back, thank you all so much x

Fabulous hotel, highly recommended.

Hotel was fabulous in a good location a few minutes walk into the centre of Bowness. The apartment rooms are very spacious with good sized kitchen, living areas and bedrooms on a separate level. The hotel facilities are very good and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We are planning to return.

A lovely hotel which was decorated beautifully. Friendly staff. Patrick was great, showing us around and taking photos of us. Ben from the Cocktail bar was super friendly, chatting to us regularly. They have a separate Pub where the Spa is too which is great. The Spa was stunning with the ambience of the decor/ lighting. They have an Asian restaurant on site which we went to and the food was fantastic. Breakfast was great too. Our room had a balcony hot tub. We did have an issue with the jets and this was sorted somewhat but it must have had a fault as the bubbles didn’t even break the surface but we still enjoyed it. We had the hotels Bentley limousine take us into town on our anniversary which was a little special for us too. All in all a great 3 nights.
