I booked a balcony room so I could look out over the lake and enjoy the night sky, but that was ruined by an overly bright spotlight shining directly on the building. The light spilled into my room and onto the balcony, making it impossible to relax or stargaze, and it even woke me up around 4 a.m. since there were no blackout curtains. I also didn’t appreciate the phone calls asking when I would arrive — that felt intrusive. As a paying guest, I expect privacy and the freedom to check in at my convenience. There was no staff available at night, and the front desk representative I interacted with was unfriendly. On top of that, there are no late-night food options nearby. This hotel has potential because of its location on the lake, but the poor service, lack of amenities, and intrusive lighting make it hard to recommend.

The room is very clean. The balcony is not. the floor gives out stale oil on the floor,and there are 2 hornet's nests. it is not safe to go out. I still love this place and its beautiful beach

For the amount that we paid for this, I was expecting something not great. Boy was I shocked when we drove into the parking lot and the property is right on the lake. When we got into our room, we found a balcony that overlooked the water with great views of the sunset. When we drove in, I thought this was a bit out of the way to find out. We were only eight minutes from everything in town. It was a great day. The staff were wonderful. We loved going to the zoo tickets, which came with our room for free.

The Lakeview was beautiful. We didn't use the spa or indoor pool. Others were using it. The room could have been a lot cleaner. Staff was friendly.
