Situated directly across from one of the most historic sites in York, Clifford's Tower. It is now all that remains of York Castle, set upon a mound which was originally built by William the Conqueror, and it is on the doorstep of 1 Peckitt Street.

Newly refurbished this one bedroom apartment is a perfect place to base yourself, ready for your time in the historic City of York. With one of the most historic buildings directly on your doorstep you don't have far to go to start your journey. The apartment has lovely stripped wooden floors and high ceilings, all contributing to a wonderful light, bright and airy feel. The open plan living area has large windows to make the very most of the view and the both the sofa provides an ideal spot to just sit back, relax and watch the world go by. There is a separate fold out chair bed in this room to accommodate the occasional extra guest.

The lovely kitchen area has granite work surfaces and is fitted with everything that you will need, right down to the dishwasher and washer dryer, with a fabulous breakfast bar to enjoy morning coffee, or pre dinner drinks, you are all set!

The bedroom is again light and airy and has a big comfortable bed in which to snuggle down into at the end of your very busy day.

The bathroom boasts a luxury walk in shower and is perfect for getting ready for your day, or evening out in the fantastic City of York, the heart of which is a matter of minutes walk from your door.

Excellent Property

Very much enjoyed our stay in the King’s Tower. Picture and descriptions are accurate. Nice welcome package. Within easy walking distance to attractions, restaurants and grocery stores. Several car parks nearby. Stays York staff was easy to communicate with and most helpful. Apartment is on 2nd floor and no lift, which could be a consideration if mobility challenged. Would stay again and definitely recommend.

Pleasantly surprised!

A really lovely apartment in a beautiful location. Well equipped with lovely finishes! Had a small issue on check in but the service was excellent and rectified straight away. My only observation would be that the sofa bed in the living room, I wouldn’t really class as a bed. It’s a futon and unfortunately very uncomfortable. Otherwise, an amazing stay!

Beautiful apartment. Well presented and equipped. Central located. Ideal situated for buses as well to train station and Outlets. Only couple of things. There's a step into living room and bedroom . Could maybe put on some tape. Also light in hall very sensitive . Came on and off through the night.
