Room was nice but quite noisy. Droning sound of air conditioners or some type of machinery could be heard often. View from room wasn’t great. Room itself was nice but a little small. Tv was outdated, no Netflix or streaming for example. Room was clean and tidy but walls were marked and scuffed in places. Bathroom tap only stayed on when flow was high. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout stay and service at breakfast was good. Breakfast itself was ok but would have preferred to get it myself rather than order. Cooked Yorkshire breakfast was ok but was a little disappointed however continental items were very good. Hot drink were ok but again would prefer to help myself rather than keep having to ask. Were I to visit York again I’d opt for another hotel.

due to unseasonal storm i could not travel to hotel . with train cancellations and unavailable seating i did not manage to get there but they kept my money. disgusting behaviours even when asked by Expedia several times to refund. this was to be a treat for my partner recovering from breast cancer . no empathy shown . money is their only interest you dont count. AVOID THIS PLACE.

We love this chain but it’s the first time we’ve stayed at the Hotel Indigo in York. Exactly the standard of service we expect and the surroundings are lovely. Gorgeous breakfast too - help yourself to tighter, juices and pastries and then waiter service for the hot breakfast. It turns out that as IHG members we were also entitled to a late check out at no extra cost! Great trip and we will definitely check out Hitel Indigo in more cities.
