The centre of the market town of Helmsley is just a short walk away and is known as the jewel in Yorkshire’s crown. The many individual shops, art galleries, microbrewery and plethora of cafés and eateries will keep you entertained for days. The stately home of Duncombe Park is a short stroll away along with Helmsley Castle and the award-winning National Centre for Birds of Prey. As the central meeting point for three walking routes, including the Cleveland Way, Helmsley is a mecca for walkers and cyclists alike. The central market square is a focal meeting point where you can find visitors and locals passing the time and enjoying watching the world pass by. The historic city of York and the Dales town of Thirsk are a short drive away, and the seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough are within easy reach.
