The room thankfully had a fan but the lack of AC would have affected my decision to book if I had noticed it. Related, typical to Europe, hotels tend to not do a top sheet but a down comforter. This makes sleeping in a hot room even more difficult. The room was also very small with the only place to open larger luggage being the bed. I want to add, however, the staff was amazing.

Great location, friendly staff, affordable

Zurich is an expensive city and Townhouse is an affordable well-situated hotel within a 5-minute walk to the train station (including easy airport transfer), restaurants, old town and shopping. The staff was very accommodating, especially Leon who always greeted us with a smile. We stayed in room 12, a very large room with a large bathroom, lots of space for our luggage, storage, large comfortable bed and we appreciated the electric kettle with coffee and tea selection. This is an older building and it appears the room differ in size and amenities. We had specifically asked for a room not located on the top floor and would suggest one should specify any preferences (read the reviews and be guided accordingly). No AC but a good fan was provided. A great location does come with some potential draw backs, including street noise and crowded sidewalks. With our extensive travel experience we never buy the breakfast offered at the hotels. Considering we are visiting a new country or city, we prefer to experience local restaurants and coffee shops for breakfast, usually with better quality, diversity and less costly. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and would return to this hotel.

Location is perfect, only about 7 minutes walk from the Zurich HB station. Room is very small, the bathroom doesn’t smell too good. The mattress is okay but the pillows are too soft. No air condition in the room and it’s quite hot inside the room in mid June. The comforter provided is too thick for the hot summer days.

The staff and location were excellent with the staff being very attentive. The position of the hotel was excellent for shops and food etc. the only down side is that there was no air conditioning in the room with it being 30 degrees outside and the room being very hot. Apart from that I would recommend.

This hotel is just a few blocks from the train station making it an easy connection. There are many shops and restaurants to walk to in the nearby area. The hotel is older and the rooms are formal and lacking some modernization. There are few electrical outlets in the room and they are hard to reach. The lighing is a bit dim.

The location was great for getting to and from the train station. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a late check in due to travel which worked fine. They ordered us a taxi for our check out day. The rooms were fine. I would stay here again.

The hotel was perfectly located for easy walkable access from Zurich HB - just off Bahnhofstrasse. Located on pedestrian street with restaurants and umbrella tables — very picturesque. Small step to enter hotel with elevator a plus!! Staff very kind and a definite shout out to Remo who was always available and reliable. Great service. / The only item to mention would be the high step-in bathtub. It was not an issue for us but for some individuals it could be. // Otherwise a wonderful home away from home!! Thank you Remo and Staff!
