Dirty carpet and bed bugs

Our bed had visual bed bug , we requested a rooms changes, the other room had a very dirty carpet, additionally the pictures in Internet are by fat better than reality, very old room and NO aircondicional, it was very hot

We checked in at 11:30pm only to find out rooom already occupied. The room occupants (including a young child) were understandably startled and afraid. We then had to wait for staff to knock on another room door (at midnight) to find us a room. No apology was offered and the receptionist couldn’t even stop what she was doing (cutting sellotape with her teeth!) and look me in the eye and apologize. Room (119 - avoid it) had a big pink stain on the carpet and water stains on the bedside table (you can remove that with a warm iron - google it).

Don’t do it!

Road construction made it impossible to get to, that should have been a red flag. First room smelled like cigarettes and so we asked to move and the second room didn’t smell any better. Horrible night sleep. Got out of there as quick as we could. Won’t be going back!

Aberdeen Douglas Hotel

Aberdeen was a great place to stay. Right on the ocean west side of Scotland. Many things to see and do there. Hotel was great-very convenient for walking. Quite a variety of food available
