This was my third stay at The Cherry Tree and it is rapidly becoming my go-to when I need to stay over near Harwell. It is very conveniently located, the rooms are clean and surprisingly large. The pub itself has some atmosphere and the staff has always been really friendly. Amenities are basic as you would expect, but I think they provide really decent value for money.
The room was lovely and comfortable, the food was also lovely, the kind landlady also provided a continental breakfast for me, I will be definitely stopping again the next time I am in the area with work.
Single night stay, i happened to come on a night they werent serving food and pub next door wasnt either.
The tv aerial needs fixing in room 3. Absolutely no tv channels would work.
A lovely clean room and a good quiet nights sleep.
The room is in need of refurbishment, curtains not hanging from rail properly, fan heater looks in poor condition, room rather stark being all in white, not welcoming when coming in from the cold and took time to warm up. Poor value for money.

Started off with an extra charge for our dog. £25. This was not stated on Hotels.com. Didn’t really have a choice, not too much of an issue as extra charges are normally standard on other hotels. Oh well.
Room was what we expected, bathroom could use a bit of tlc. Mould around the bath. Shower curtain had seen better days. Sink cold water tap could use a tighten up. Storage heater was a bit rusty, could use a rub down.
Staff were friendly enough. Pub seemed to be a locals pub and wasn’t what you’d call swinging for a Saturday night. Locale, 30 minutes from Oxford and 40 minutes from The Farmers Dog.
Cheap and cheerful. Would I stay here again? Probably not
We weren’t overly excited by our stay at the cherry tree. The bar had already stopped serving food when we arrived. It wasn’t that late and we had to resort to shopping at the local co-op for something to eat. Despite paying £30 for the dog to stay with us overnight there was nothing given in return. We had to ask for toiletries which hadn’t been provided. On the plus side, the breakfast was very good and the lady who served it was very helpful although it wasn’t anva until after 10 am.
