Disliked: Cleanliness
An uncomfortable stay. The cleanliness really let down the property. Downstairs has a mothball smell that seeps into your clothes. All of the surfaces haven’t been cleaned in some time. There were ANTS, dust, cobwebs and grime in the all of the bathrooms. Rags from the mop previously used were on the stairs and in the shower. Debris piles were swept to one corner.The bed sheets don’t fit so you end up sleeping on the mattress which is unhygienic. Some of the covers were stained on arrival. The pictures are accurate but it doesn’t show it’s on an unfinished plot. Opposite is an incomplete building and outside is an untared dusty road which is difficult to walk on. We came across a single rock in a cupboard with writing on it making proclamations, that if you are superstitious you would not want to see. The property managers seemed hesitant to remove it. There was NO running water on the last night/day to flush or wash. We were told it was coming for several hours. In the end we had to agree to shower with gallon water buckets. This had a knock on effect and caused one of the guests to miss her flight home waiting to bathe. The house is within a gated community in a slightly different location than indicated - not much within walking distance but spintex rd is close enough by car. All of this was reported to the owners who were responsive initially but have since gone quiet.
