Staff was not dressed professionally and could not be differentiated from someone on the street. The hotel was dirty and not well presented. The room was dirty, the glass on the shower glass panel had soap scum making it look awful and the end table had used condom wrappers left from the previous people. Awful experience. Avoid this place.

R1,900 a night (£16.50) for two inc small breakfast isn’t much, but we’ve stayed in far better places for less. Staff were disengaged, common areas were dirty and littered with the same debris throughout our 3 day stay. Room was decent size, but very dusty and dirty. Shower curtain and fittings etc filthy. No fridge, A/C and fan worked, but noisy. Very limited breakfast grudgingly prepared in the dingy basement restaurant Hotel probably quite nice 20 years ago, but looks like it’s been completely neglected ever since. On the plus side, it had a proper reception, felt safe, provided toilet paper and had excellent hot water if you remembered to turn the cylinder on. The upmarket Pinch of Spice restaurant next door was terrific, but is (justifiably) expensive by Indian standards.
