So I booked this hotel as I was going to the Ajax match at the stadium nearby so it was very convenient for that as it was less than 10 minutes walking and the train station was also about 10 minutes walk maximum. The hotel appeared nice and modern and clean just like previous holiday inn express we stayed in Amsterdam but when we got to our room it wasn't even made it was dirty bed and bathroom so I called on the phone to reception and they said they were busy but would send someone but after 10 minutes I went down to speak to them as that was totally unacceptable. They were very apologetic and gave us another room nearby so didn't have to move far and that one had been made the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower which was very nice although the temperature would fluctuate a little but overall it was a nice shower. The tv was a lot smaller than in the pictures online but wasn't a problem.
When I checked in they asked how often I wanted housekeeping as we were staying for 4 nights I said once in the middle would be fine however after our second night we wanted to relax so I left the sign on the door not to be disturbed and we were not. The next day our last full day I left the sign on requesting housekeeping as we were out early and not planning on returning until later and would like fresh bedding and towels for our last night but when we returned the room had not been made again which was really annoying.
