I called to find out how to check in after hours and the woman that answered the phone said she would just wait for me to get there. She did, checked me in and was wonderful! Very kind, helpful, cheerful, and so nice. The room was nice and clean. I missed the last boat home and this was a nice place to stay. Will stay again!
At first glance the photos made it seem ok. Maybe an affordable place for a last minute stay? Learn from our mistake. It’s worth a little extra to avoid the noisy, dirty, unsafe roadside motel vibe while staying in quaint Anacortes. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to sleep in a sleeping bag and not actually touch the bed. At the very least bring your own pillows and bedding, keep your shoes on at all times, and don’t bother complaining to the management unless you just want more frustration.
We canceled our booking after one night and took the non-refund hit.
I made my reservation through Expedia for the same day late in the afternoon/early evening and paid ahead for my stay. Due to ferry schedules, I arrived at the motel late in the evening. When I arrived at the motel the office was closed and not scheduled to open again until 11:00AM the next day. There was no key box or way to contact the management. I had to find and pay for another hotel, one that offered full service. I expect Expedia or Cap Sante to refund my pre-payment of $105.06.

Close to Marina and Safeway so we could catch our whale watch charter. Right off the main thoroughfare so it is a bit noisy from the road. Our room was across the street from the main property and we had no one above or on either side of us so it was quiet. I had requested a first floor room, which they accommodated.
That was great, although first floor rooms are for pet owners so the condition of the furniture, doors and bedding showed a lot of use.
The location is great, staff is friendly and helpful.

We checked in to a curt front desk receptionist. The next day our door lock was broken. As the office was closed at 9:45 am we were given a temporary key. We were away all day for a big event. At 9:30 pm we received a call from a yelling manager insisting we return immediately with temporary key. Everyone at our otherwise quiet dinner could hear her. We returned to being locked out of our room. Police were called. We were only allowed back in to our belongings and paid for room once we apologized?!? For poor management, broken locks, criminal egos? We are not sure but will not be going back. Reviews about an older property, hard pillows and noisy refrigerators are accurate. What a shame as it has changed hands and was well liked before the new management.
Excellent stay! The room was huge with a refrigerator, microwave and table to eat at. You can’t beat the location! Staff was nice as well. I will stay here again.
It was a good stay I just feel if they renovated completely it would look beautiful but the service was on par with a 5 star hotel the lady was very sweet and not rude ever.
