Comfortable and Clean

This is a comfortable and clean place to stay near downtown Anchorage. The location is conveniently located near the park strip, but off the main traffic path. The staff is polite and friendly and hotel breakfast is available. The Clarion is also within walking distance to great food and coffee as well as the coastal trail.

The front desk woman was very kind, informative and accommodating. The outside of the building is so pretty and the lobby is really nice. The rooms are so spacious it was perfect for our family. The gym was out of service, I like to workout daily so that wasn’t great. The bathroom was kind of grimy looking and the fan in there didn’t work. Otherwise it’s a great price for the space. I will be staying here again.

Decent place to stay, close to downtown and local

Pros: staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast was bountiful and plentiful, fitness room was adequate for work out needs, checking in and out was hassle free, walking distance to Benihana, plenty of spots for car parking Cons: the rooms need to be updated, the furniture needs to be updated, the walls are not thick, you can hear your neighbors, sometimes it took time for staff to pick up trash, no daily housekeeping, have to request it Overall will give a 3.5 out of 5. They accepted the hotels.com rewards points (stayed here for 6 days for free minus taxes)
