Stained bed sheets , stained bathroom towels , location was within an active railyard trains sounding horns every three hours during the night. More like a halfway house then a hotel. Would not recommend .

Absolutely do not stay here. The area is not safe. The cops were at the hotel every single night of our 4 night stay. People were getting arrested in the actual hotel. They let homeless people sleep in their breakfast area so you’ll be eating their subpar breakfast right next to the homeless people. The hotel staff was not helpful — they cancelled one of our rooms in our room block and sent them to another hotel without telling us until we were checking in after our flight at 1 am. They ended up insisting on simply giving us a roll away bed for the night instead of an actual room, but still charged us for that night’s stay even though we weren’t able to stay in an actual room. The room itself was a nightmare — TV didn’t work, outlet chargers didn’t work, and the sink was clogged. Upon checking out, they tried to charge us an extra $50 for a “window screen being broken” which was just simply a lie on their part, and I will be refuting that with the hotel and my credit card company. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel and I do not recommend this to anyone under any circumstances.

There was no breakfast left at 8am. The hotel desk person was not at the desk when we arrived and we waited 15 mins. Before she showed up. The cops were on site due to a situation and the entire stay was sketchy.

The room was clean and exactly as advertised for the price. One word of advice would to let the customers know that the hotel is also being used to help the people of western Alaska. If I were the manager I would separate the residents from the visitors. Only for the reason that those are completely different needs and timing. All the people from staff to residents to customers were outstanding. Not one negative experience. Price and room worth the price.

When we arrived and I got out of my vehicle I slipped and fell on the ice, impacting my right knee and twisting my back. When I explained what happened to the clerk at the check in, she tried to get the attention of security with no answer from them. When we went to our room the thermostat was set to 60, so the room was very cold. Once we determined the radiant heater was working the room did not warm up until around 2 am when we reduced the temperature to 70. Next, because we were so cold and the fall out front of the location, I got in the shower only to find that the handicapped grab bar had some kind of scum on it, the appearance of dried lotion or soap. When I grabbed a washcloth it looked like dried poop on it, ON BOTH SIDES! When we checked out the next morning I spoke with the morning manager about all this and he said he would comp us in some way. It’s been 2 days and there has been nothing from this location. We have stayed here before, this will probably be the last time.
