We were staying here overnight before our cruise. It was perfect for an overnight stay. Everything was neat, clean and organized. The shuttle drivers were very helpful. They loaded and unloaded our luggage for us. It was a great "continental" breakfast. Normally that means coffee and pastry. This had waffles, eggs, cereal. Something anyone could eat. If we go back to Anchorage, we will definately stay here.

I live in Valdez about a 300 mile drive from Anchorage. Puffin Inn has been and continues to be my favorite stay when I have to visit Anchorage. Over the past year they have been doing extensive remodeling which has led to some challenges. Fortunately, I have always been given a room that was recently renovated. The staff continues to be friendly, informative, and helpful. The rooms are always clean and the rooms in the main building are very quiet. Puffin Inn has always been a very good value for a stay in Anchorage. I hope that recent renovations do not change their affordability.

The reception area was very nice and had continental breakfast. They are in process of updating the property;however the bldg. where our room was was dark, desolate with sketchy people were roaming about. The room was old and not updated. We stayed 2 nights and we were creeped out for $250/nite. Our room door would not open for us. It was terrible and scary.Room was clean & staff was ok.
