The hotel was very conveniently located near everything in downtown Annapolis. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The windows in my room did not face the street or anything outside, we had a view of a common area in the lobby. It made the room dark, but it would not stop me from staying there again. I would just request a room with a street view.

No way this place could be better located for a tourist visit to Annapolis--or even for business with the State of MD, for that matter. For the price it's an excellent value and it is, after all, an "Historic Inn." I only rated it down from five stars for two things: 1. the electric outlets on the front of the table need to be replaced--so worn they don't work. And, 2. despite the briefing at the desk and the map we were given, we were very confused about finding our building and the entrance to it. After that, all was fine.

It was a beautiful, historical, elegant hotel. Very quiet and comfortable. The wine in our room was delightful! What we did not like was that there was no iron or ironing board in the room; we did not understand why. That is simply necessary for travelers.

Location location location! Very convenient to USNA and dining. It is a straight shot to the hotel if you exit the yard from gate 3. Staff were very nice. Rooms were small but clean. My only real complaint would be rooms are really dark! Walls were dark, carpet is dark, furniture is dark. My daughter thought the toilet was especially loud LOL.
