Unpleasant stay

Booked 2 nights but ended up staying only 1 night as it was quite unbearable. Extremely old hotel and it has got no air conditioning; only the heater which made us feel really hot and stuffy (not forgetting the mouldy smell in the room). Asked the staff to open up the sliding door to the balcony but they couldn’t do it. The only good thing about this hotel is the happy hour free drink for every guest (1 each) and the free breakfast buffet. It is next to a famous ramen shop though we didn’t get to try as the queue was long. For the price we paid, this is definitely not a good choice of hotel. Will not return for sure....

Good value for yen

On site parking for 800 yen a day in the vertical carpark, free breakfast and a free happy hour drink in the evenings were the big pluses of this hotel. Unfortunately they were not able to accommodate our request (made at the time of booking) for a non-smoking room, however it ended up being bearable.

Business-like hotel for overnight stay. Hotel provided free breakfast and happy hour drinks. Also paid parking available. Room was a bit stuffy but otherwise clean. Also perhaps due to change in weather, heater was turned on. Very accessible to Asahikawa JR station, dining street and amenities.

Business hotel with modest service

Pros: The location is great. Car park within the facility for nominal fee of 500 yen per day was good. Happy hour free drink in the evening was cool. Staff were helpful. Cons: Room is very small and the Inn doesn’t have much facilities. It’s primarily suitable only for sleeping at night and go out in the morning. Overall a positive experience over the 3 night we spent there.
