Great location, staff was fantastic. Very clean. Room layout is quirky. Ok if you want to just sleep, not comfortable if you need to work in the hotel room.

This is a great location for whatever you want to do in Asheville. The lobby is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful! The rooms are clean (albeit small) and quiet. We would stay there again and again.

A Great Place to Stay

Room was just a little small, but that is the only complaint, and a minor one. The hotel is nice and all of the staff were super friendly. Perfect place to stay if you are going to see a show at The Orange Peel. Would stay here again.

Location was excellent. Staff was excellent. Loved check in at the bar on main level. Rooms were a little tight but part of the concept. We really enjoyed the upgrade to the mountain view room. Roof top bar was great for sunset cocktail. The only issue we had was our room wasn't serviced. We were out of the room from 8:30 a.m. until 3 pm. Went down to talk to staff at check in bar and they said they were sorry but everyone was gone for the day.

We booked this room just as we arrived in Asheville, NC. We were just going to be in town for one night so we didn’t want to spend a fortune. At $223 this was about the best we could do if we wanted to be in the city center area. Our reservation included parking which is important when stay in a main city area. Moxy is a Marriott property. The lobby was very nice. They gave us 2 drink tokens and had live music from 6-8pm. The elevators are quite unique. You select your floor before you enter. There are no buttons once you get in. Seems like a nice security feature. Our room was very small. It’s kinda weird, the very small sink is in the room and not the bathroom. We had to fight to get our free parking. It was clear on the reservation that self-parking was included. The garage next door had a huge sign showing hotel guests where to park. The receptionist kept insisting that only self-parking was included. I said several times that we did self-park but she said we were in the city garage which is the one that has the hotel parking sign. She finally got angry and validated our ticket. I still don’t understand her point. And to be clear, we did confirm with the desk clerk when we arrived that we had parked in the correct garage. The one with an entrance to the hotel.

The Moxy is in a great location in downtown Asheville. It was difficult to find the parking garage and when we did the sign said full. We didn't know until we checked in that even if it says full that there are spaces for hotel guests. The rooms are small with no fridge or coffee maker. Coffee is available downstairs. The clerks and bartenders were great except for the one on Monday morning when we checked out. She did not speak or tell me I was good to go.
