While the overall facility appeared to be clean, the unit had numerous flies flying around a couple of light fixtures (about 20 flies near each of two light fixtures). There were a number of fly ribbons in place, with dead flies on them. Two of the bedrooms had a strong odor of urine and weak odor throughout the unit as the days went on. Just about every room had air fresheners in use. There really did not seem to be any quick resolution to the odor problem, so we just put up with it. At least six smoke detectors started chirping, one or two at a time, over the stay. The owner's daughter came and left some batteries, and we had found two batteries. I think we used all but one, but as we could not really reach some of the detectors, we just knocked them down and did not bother to try to put them back up.

This place is good for a weekend 4 wheeling or hunting with your boys. I took my family of my wife and 2 daughters and it is not the place for that.The stairs are narrow and steep and the one bathroom shower leaked. There were also fire alarms sitting in the kitchen needing to be installed.This place seems to be in the midst of a renovation.

Property has great potential. Rooms need nightstand dressers. A few chairs in rooms would help too.. two cereal bowls for ten people.. street parking was no problem. Washer dryer refrigerator kitchen appliances all excellent. Get couch out of kitchen and put kitchen table and chairs in there. More towels were needed. We had to share. A fun house to rent for our three days. Most families would find this property severely lacking, but our family enjoyed it.. Family description was "Rustic"....
