The hotel was brand new, everything was super clean and very nice. The staff was very friendly and check in and out were uncomplicated. The guys running the Valet parking were also nice and helping to get around a find good places to eat.

Would never stay here again, you get what you pay for. Unsafe neighborhood, no safe free parking, noisy environment. Could not sleep all night due to noise of an “happy hour” event that went until midnight.

To be a new hotel, it was not as clean as it could be. Two of the pillows on my bed were funky. The bathroom already had built up dirt in the corners of the shower and walls from half done cleaning in between stays. The room had absolutely no sound proofing. The doors close really hard and loud, so anytime someone entered or exited their room, it would wake you out of your sleep. You can even hear people speaking outside of your room as if they were inside of your room. The area it’s in is not that great. The only plus I experienced was the front desk agent, Yolanda, who went above and beyond to help with some issues I had during my check-in and stay.

I recently stayed at the new Origin Hotel Atlanta for four nights. Overall, I enjoyed my experience, though a few things impacted the stay. The hotel is clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The location was great, everything I needed was within walking distance. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the avocado toast, which was fresh and flavorful. I didn’t try lunch or dinner, as the kitchen closes at 2 p.m., but breakfast left a great impression. The staff were warm and welcoming. Miss Tracy at the front desk and the gentleman who checked me out were especially kind. Service was a bit slow, but the hotel is still new and seemed short-staffed, which is understandable. That said, there were a few drawbacks. There was no hot water in my room during the entire stay, even after notifying the front desk. The walls are also extremely thin. I could clearly hear neighbors, and the evening socials were particularly loud. It made it difficult to unwind at night. Housekeeping never came, despite the hotel’s policy of service every three days. While the towels were very soft, I expected a mid-stay refresh that didn’t happen. With time and improvements, this hotel could be a great option. The location, design, staff, and breakfast all stood out. I’d consider staying again if the noise, water, and housekeeping issues are addressed.

I'll stay somewhere else next time

I reserved a corner room specifically and did not get one. I requested to have the special addition of a camp set up in the room for my daughter and did not receive. We waited 45min for breakfast at the property restaurant, and we were the only ones in it! The food was mediocre at best.

The room was clean, staff was really nice, no complaints about that… My problems started a few days before I even checked in when I was charged 440$ for a room that I was supposed to pay for upon arrival and the stay for two nights was half of that amount. I was refunded the money after a few days but that’s not the point, it shouldn’t happen in the first place. Then I arrive with my family and two dogs and I’m told that I have to pay 150$ a night for my dogs when it clearly states on Expedia that the charge was 50$ per stay per dog and 75$ for incidentals which I understand and agreed to it. Well again I was charged twice the 150$ for the and twice for incidentals, never happened to me before and I hate complaining but I had to this time, again I had to wait a few days to be refunded more money that shouldn’t be charged in the first place, needles to say I won’t be staying at this property again.

I am summarizing our first 45 min at your hotel: 1- You initially assigned the wrong reservation 2- You wanted to charge a security deposit that was two times greater than the one needed. 3- it took you 25 min just to find my reservation when we had given you the correct information 4- The room key did not work initially and had to go back to the lobby 5- Th second room key did not work either. Had to go to the lobby a third time. 6- You assigned us the wrong room number and that is why we had to go to the lobby three times to "fix the key" 7- We reserved a King size bed and you did not give us a king size bed. This is extremely unacceptable as an Expedia platinum member we usually expect more.

Inept and Unacceptable Service of Major City Hotel

The first day of the stay, there was a rude awakening. No hot water in the sink or the shower. The showerhead protruded from a high ceiling fixture. The water pressure was low. Unfortunately, that was good because we didn't want freezing cold water pulsating down. There was no fan in the bathroom to air out the steam from the shower, which made the room and the carpet very damp. The bed sheets were so rough that it felt like my skin was being scraped. It was like lying under a curtain. The pillows were super soft and lacked any firmness. They were filled with what seemed like feathers. Poor choice for those with allergies. The covers did not pull away from the bottom of the bed. Very uncomfortable. When we used the clothes steamer, it set off the smoke detector. We thought there was a fire drill taking place. We had no idea the steamer would activate the smoke detector. We did not receive housekeeping service the next day. After having brought this to the attention of the front desk, they said they were busy and couldn't get to it. When it happened a second time, they told us we had to request it. Nowhere in their literature did they make it clear that we had to request housekeeping. The only thing they mentioned on a small card was that after three days of getting towel service, we would be charged. Also, we did not use the do-not-disturb doorhanger. They said they would get someone in to fix the water temperature because another hotel guest complained.

Deposit was not refund but doubled

The hotel was acceptable and in good Location. However, during the check in the hotel tried to charge me for the stay , of which I have already paid through hotels.com via Expedia. I really had to explain myself and went on a journey of having to prove that I have already paid for the stay. I was then ask to leave a deposit payment , normal. However , after I have checked out , I did inquire about the deposit payment refund - I was not too confident with the hotel. Due to the effort I had to make to proved I had already paid for my stay, during the check in. I was informed that my deposit would be refund and that there was no problem. Two days later , was deposit was not refund but it was doubled. As I was not far from the hotel- I went back to clarify the situation. Only for them to quickly explained that it was a fault with Expedia. It was not clear to why at all. Left a rather sour experience. The staff was rather unprofessional as I had to pursue to proved that mistake was made on their end. It made me wonder, how many times this mistake was made on travellers not from Atlanta.
