1-Star Review: Unpleasant Stay from Start to Finish I rarely leave reviews, but my recent 4-night stay at this hotel was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. The most frustrating issue was my room key card — I had to go to the front desk to get it reprogrammed over 6 times during my stay. Each time it stopped working, I had to walk back to the lobby, in which one of the nights the elevators stopped working so I had to take the stairs which became increasingly aggravating, especially late at night. The hotel was also extremely noisy. I could hear loud guests and slamming doors well into the night. The worst part? A full-blown brawl broke out right outside my door at 2 a.m., loud enough to wake me up in a panic. The police had to come to break it up. At that point, I no longer felt safe staying there. Overall, this was a very unpleasant and stressful experience. Between the repeated key card failures, lack of peace and quiet, and a disturbing safety incident, I will not be returning and do not recommend this hotel to others.

Horrible!!!

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone! We were there 5 nights and couldnt even a key tomour room until the last night. We had to have them let us in every time we left. There was blood on curtains in room. They do not have breakfast at all. They had 1 working small elevator that was filthy. There are homeless and very questionable people hanging out in the parking lot at all hours of the day and night!

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Do Not Book Here Our experience at Sonesta Select Atlanta Duluth was nothing short of awful. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. We checked into Room 406 and were immediately overwhelmed by a horrible smell. The bathroom was dirty, and the curtains had suspicious stains on them. To make things worse, my son killed a roach shortly after we entered, and then we saw a baby roach crawling up the wall. That was the final straw. We immediately gathered our belongings and left the hotel to find a different place to stay. I requested a refund and was told to contact Expedia, which we booked through. The situation is still unresolved. On top of it all, we were charged a $50 incidental fee, which has not been refunded—even though we checked out that same night. Expedia now shows us as a “no-show,” which is both false and frustrating. I attempted to add photos but was unable to do so.

The sofa was torn and stained. There were 3 pillows on the king size bed and when requested 1 more pillow, was told there were none. The curtains did not have a light-reducing, privacy shade behind it. There was only one elevator in operation. One housekeeper was observed over 30 minutes by the elevator with bins full of trash. There is no longer free breakfast or any such amenities. On the positive side, the refrigerator was clean and cold. The bed and bath were clean.
