Stayed as a family of four for a quick overnight trip. The hotel has been recently remodeled and is a really cool mix of retro-modern. We really enjoyed this hotel and the onsite manager was super friendly and helped us out with what we needed. We will absolutely stay here again.

My fiancée and I stayed at The Foothills Motel on our way to the Donner Memorial site. We chose this specific motel based on the fantastic reviews and the pictures on the website! We would definitely stay here again. Friendly staff and amazing ambience. I especially liked the colorful chairs outside of all the rooms and the hanging bulb lights lit up at night

Oh my goodness! This place is so cute, and such a solid stay. The bed was comfy, the little patio we had was so cute, the towels were soft and the vibe was just precious. Excellent service. Parking is free. Pool looks nice! Fun bar just down the way. Will absolutely stay here again.

My second time staying at Foothills. Both visits have been outstanding. This trip I particularly enjoyed the King room. We sat out on the patio relaxing and reading. Though Foothills is close to a freeway the room itself was quiet. Bed comfy. Staff helpful. Retro vibe a bonus. What’s not to love.

When we first got to our room there was a strong smell of cigarettes. Fortunately the staff was able to move us into another room and all was well. Room was clean and compact, and the bed was very comfortable.

You should stay here.

Super clean fun and funky. Late 60s themed, in a really nice way. Rooms were clean. Good location. Pretty views! Dog Friendly ! Would stay again for sure ! The price point is amazing!

The motel was originally built in the 70's and has that nostalgic look and feel about it - but don't let that fool you. The interior appointments have been completely modernized and updated. The bathroom is totally modern, the bed and pillow were some of the best I've ever slept on, and the staff were super friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here in the future and highly recommend it to anyone who might be looking for something different from what the corporate world has to offer in big box reservations.

Foothill is 5 mins drive away from town of Auburn and it is right beside the highway. Grocery store, Starbucks, gas station, and restaurants are within walking distance. Location is very convenient.

The guest check in staff was very friendly. But upon arrival and getting settled, in the room, we opened the mini fridge only to be hit in the face with the smell of rotten milk. The smell lingered and we reported it, but the staff didn’t know what to go and because it was a fully booked weekend we couldn’t be moved. I was traveling with 2 young children, so it added to my dissatisfaction. The beds did not have even a mattress pad protector so you are sleeping on a sheet right on top of the mattress which is unsanitary. I was disappointed based on reviews…
