Horizon by SkyCity is a wonderful hotel. The staff, from the front desk, housekeeping, porters and valet parking are incredible kind and so pleasant to interact with. The rooms are well appointed, and the bed is very comfortable. Shopping on Queens St. is close by; you can walk 6 minutes down the hill or, if you have a vehicle there are parking garages near Queens St. and Wellesley St. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Final note, to out of towners, to turn your electric outlet on, flip the circular on/off switch directly above each outlet socket. Enjoy your stay at Horizon by SkyCity!

The hotel is nice and new, and rooms are super quiet which is perfect. Unsure if it’s the newness of the hotel, but the service really needs to be improved. Slow to check in, slow to check out, slow to add breakfast to my room and get seated. The numbers to in room dining weren’t working and the meal was cold. Hopefully the experience get more seamless

What an absolute gem! Awesome room, very roomy and well kept. Service has blown away every hotel I have ever stayed in, including any 5 star hotels I have stayed in, including the Ritz Carlton. Well done. Room service, restaurant all great. Highlight was the staff though. Sooo helpful and friendly, especially loved discussing rugby and American football w Issac. Go Bills! Go Vikings!

New property, friendly helpful staff particularly down at Valet when we arrived. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Towels were soft. Unfortunately the ocean view is obscured by large towers and the satellites of tvnz next door. Self parking is unclear, we were told there was self parking available for $35 but could not see this. Parked in Skycity for $48/day, which was slightly cheaper than $60/day. Overall great stay, just a few things to be mindful of.
