The room itself was perfectly fine. I did run into an issue with the phone – the signs said to call reception, but the phone wouldn’t work at first. I eventually realised the wrong cord had been plugged in, so once I sorted that I could ring to request milk for a cup of tea, though it never arrived. In the restaurant, the manager came across as quite curt, which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable when people asked questions about the menu. That said, the food was great and the wait staff were genuinely lovely. One thing to be aware of is the timing: breakfast finishes at 10am even though checkout isn’t until 11am, so it’s not ideal if you’re hoping for a sleep-in and then to eat on-site. Otherwise, the nearest restaurants are only a short 5–10 minute drive away.

Hotel was wonderful! However breakfast needs to be improved a lot for NZ$38 you can find my great food outside. I understand it’s a buffet breakfast but needs to be improved Everything was tasteless there

Pay the extra $100 and stay at the Novotel or Pullman. The bus adds an extra $16 and 30 mins to your journey. As for the hotel. The room was dirty.

Very clean and spacious room. I loved the lotion smell. For ladies, they also provide free sanitary pads, tampons and liners. The only downfall I would say was no oral hygiene kit. Food was delicious and staffs were very attentive to all my needs. Airport shuttle is provided at a cost of 8NZD which runs 24 hours and is extremely convenient. Overall, a very good holiday option.
