Looking Forward to Returning

We were treated with great kindness by every staff member. The hotel is extremely well-located for transportation, attractions, restaurants, and cafes. It is a wonderful place from which to experience the vibrant city of Auckland. In terms of room for improvement, our mattress was a bit too hard (and I own and Extra Firm mattress at home.) Also, we experienced a poor wifi connnection in our room.

Beuatiful Hotel Great Location and Views

I stayed 1 night for a layover before my return baclbto the US. The jotel room was awesome. Comfy brds. Great ammenities and beautiful view. The Sky Tower and Casino was directly across the street, as well as restuarants. It was also close to tge water and local CBD for shopping and dining. I wish I spent another day.

This was my 2nd stay at The Grand and it did not disappoint! The room was large and clean eith great views of the surrounding area. The lobby is lovely and the location is superb: steps away from the Skytower and the 24 hr Skytower Casino. Location is perfect for walking to the harbor or to the main shopping malls. Great little breakfast and coffee shops just outside of the hotel. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel

We had a wonderful time in Auckland and this hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to many attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great location, great views of the harbor bridge lit up at night. It’s part of sky city complex with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. 15 minute walk to harbor (downhill, uphill return). Would stay here again. Only issue was that the bathroom light shone into the bedroom through a semi-transparent window. The bath had a ‘nighlight’ but if left on it illuminated bed. Beds comfortable, nice desk. Free water. Would stay again

Our AC did not work in our room - the staff kept trying to just say “wait” so we were miserable in this hot room until we were moved to a room that was worse (no view) without an apology or anything to try to make up for the inconvenience. The pool/sauna/spa area is honestly dated and gross - not in line with the price of this property. Bottom line - not worth it. I’ve stayed here several times and it gets worse and worse.
