Tired hotel with no curtain in my room and far too hot although the radiator was switched off. The shower head would not hold up and the bed was very soft - ok for some people I know, but not me. There was no breakfast other than coffee and worst of all there is only a small time with any staff. That’s no help if you’re facing a keypad to get in. The telephone number to a sister hotel cuts off if you select the English option and if you take the German option they are not exactly helpful - I am still waiting for a call back that was promised in five minutes!

Very bad

Terrible hotel. Didn’t give us full instructions on the way to enter after 10pm as we were late and just ignored emails asking questions about parking and breakfast. The front lady in the morning was incompetent. We asked how much breakfast was and after typing on the computer for 10 min said it was 17 euro pp which is insane. The blinds in the room wouldn’t close and so we had a terrible sleep and no fan on room or air conditioning. Very dirty in places in room as well.

I give this a good review. The rooms are clean, they offer swimming pool inside and their gym. Their breakfast was great definitely booking again in this hotel.

This place is exceptional. It has a "at home feel" to it. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are clean and big. I would definitely stay here again.

had mixup with keys at begining. I arrived on public holiday, and after entering keycode to box which I was provided, no keys dropped out. Sorted this on number provided on the box with guy from different hotel "on the watch duty". Ended with different room, which didn´t bother me, might some.

Great hotel but only easy when you know

The positives: very clean spacious warm room and hot shower. Facilities at this price are outstanding, reasonable size swimming pool, Finnish sauna and fitness room. Lift (single person) to all floors. Some parking, 4 or 5 cars in front of the hotel which is on a quiet residential street. Free on street parking. Supermarket about 100 yds away. Gratis Coffee and small pastries available all day. Breakfast was very good, hot and cold. The (few) negatives: staff not on site after 14:30 . Check in after this is by code and key box. This is a grey box with electronic pad to the right of the side door. Downside is that these instructions arrive in a German language email, hence easy when you know how.. All in all , good hotel but outstanding value for money.

This was our first, and definitely not last, stay at an Arthotel. We were given room 25, which had a nice view for the outdoor breakfast area. The furniture was OK, the bathroom - surprisingly spacious! Everything was clean and fresh, nothing to complain about. I found it incredibly thoughtful of the hotel to place a water dispenser on each floor, as well as to allow all customers to use the coffee machine with plenty of delicious types of Dalmayr coffee in the breakfast room free of charge (except if it's to-go, then the cost is 2.7 euro). Nearby there are plenty of supermarkets, a fast food restaurant and a drugstore. We're very keen on active holidays, so we go nearly everywhere on foot, and it would take us only about 25-30 minutes to get to the city centre, depending on the pace and the weather conditions. To conclude, the hotel exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed the stay a lot!! Would love to return someday.

Very weird experience. We pulled up at around 8:30pm just as a woman who worked there was locking all the doors! I spoke very little German and she spoke very little English but she was sweet and gracious enough to stay and check our family in. I don't know what we would have done had she not been there! A bit daunting. Also, there is no air conditioning. I never thought to ask when I made the booking. VERY tiny shower!
