Great Location in Austin - Perfect for several people staying needing space
House is in the best location - close to everything - shopping, grocery, restaurants and highways.
Pool is clean and very inviting
I provided the following feedback to host:
need more towels (there were about six)
need more silverware, plates and bowls - there was about four of each
remove throw rugs - there were about 20 spread throughout the home - can't be washed in between each guest + massive trip/fall hazard
clean outdoor furniture - we washed the covers but still smelled like mildew / mold
remove lots of the extra stuff everywhere - more than 20 lamps everywhere - trip hazard, in the way and lighting was minimal at best
use pillow covers that are zipped - sanitary reasons especially during covid times + get new pillows (misc sizes and types and maybe six total)
After we left the owner began slandering me, calling me names and claiming we stole a pillow (?) gross, his spices (which were old and being kept near the floor area so we moved them to a cabinet) and complained that we moved his rugs (trip hazard and could not have possibly washed 20+ rugs before we arrived one day after his other guests left) and broke his lamp - which I did and forgot about as it was first week and I tripped and fell and sprained my ankle. Oh - and we broke one wine glass in the month we were there (misc non-matching cheap wine glasses mind you)
He has now sent me a 'bill' for $100.
