We really enjoyed our week in David's apartment. It felt like home right away and his art collection gave it a real sense of history. The location is away from the crowds on a quiet street but close enough to walk to the center of town. It's close to the local train station which connects to many other cities in Provence, making day trips very easy. The garden is a quiet delight for breakfast or at the end of the day. David was very easy to communicate with and we hope to return in the future. Thank you David

The apartment is beautiful - spacious for 2 but plenty of room for 4 people. We loved David’s eclectic art collection - it adds so much character! The garden is a peaceful sunny oasis. As it was autumn, with slightly chilly evenings, we didn’t use it as much as we may have earlier in the year. It was good to be slightly away from the central honeypots of Avignon, but with everything in easy walking distance.It is also close to the central train station, so perfect for a day trip to Arles, which is a wonderful city with a very different character. Nice week in Avignon

Overall, the apartment is very nice. Lots of room and well-appointed, including a well stocked kitchen. The potenial down sides are that it's a bit of a walk into the center of town, about 10 minutes, 20 to the Pope's Palace. Also, the back bedroom smells damp and moldy so that could be an issue for those with sensativities. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay, it was quiet and easy and would stay there again.

Great location but some details are lacking

The apartment is in a quiet residential neighborhood close to the ramparts, and a reasonable walking distance to the center of Avignon, the train station (not the TGV-the local trains) and is generally convenient. The outdoor space is very nice and would be a real plus in warmer weather. We stayed 6 nights in mid November, however, and it was too chilly to be used. The kitchen, although small, is adequate for breakfast and lunch type cooking and it would be a shame to miss the local restaurants as most were good to excellent. There are several varieties of coffee makers from French Press to Espresso and Mr. coffee. The refrigerator is large by European standards. There was a generous supply of coffee and a welcome bottle of wine. The wine opener could stand replacing, and knives could do with a good sharpening. Others have commented on the eclectic art collection. It is a little overwhelming to be honest. Particularly the large statue of the Infant of Prague in one of the bedrooms, which can be startling in the night if you get up to go to the bathroom. Speaking of whic, the toilet enclosure is very small, the supply shelf is very high and the handle to the door came off several times during our stay, as did the doorknob to the adjacent bedroom. We had some initial difficulties with getting the heat to operate and upon contacting the owner, were referred back to the house instructions. We finally got it to work thru trial and error.

Avignon stay September 2024

We were very impressed with the authenticity of the apartment, the many and varied forms of artwork and the feeling that it was a proper home, we loved it. It was quiet and ideally located for the centre, walked in 5 minutes and the bus station at the post office which meant a 5 minute walk with luggage and a 20 minute bus ride to the TGV station. Lovely Apartment in a Lovely Town

We had a wonderful week in David’s house. A fantastic quiet street and a short walk to the town centre attractions and indeed to the Train Station. The apartment was very relaxing and had everything you could need. The beautiful garden was a haven.

Amazing home away from home

We had an amazing time staying in the apartment and really felt at home. The house is full of fantastic decor and details, something new to discover every day. The patio-garden is lovely and was well sheltered from the strong winds that were sweeping Avignon this summer. We’d love to return one day.

Amazing stay in Avignon

A few days in Provence

We only spent 3 days in Avignon but packed a lot in during the 3 days. The apartment was wonderful and it was great to come back to after full days of sightseeing! The artwork was interesting and the outdoor space was special. The whole apartment was comfortable and very inviting.

Really nice location and pleasant space

David was great. The location is awesome for taking trains fromAvignon Centre Station. The little patio is nice for relaxing. tho could benefit from a solution to the biting bugs. We just used bug spray. The beds are comfortable, but one room is awkward layout and the other can experience street noise. Pretty great for the price.

Couldn't be better.

Great space, fantastic host, clean and best. Good facilities. Location inside the wall couldnt be better. Far enough off the main street to be wonderfully quite. Close enough to make the walks to shops, cafes or whatever easy yet still only a leisurely 10 minute walk to the train station. We plan on returning to Avignon again for an extended stay and hope to stay again.

A wonderful rental

Everything the other reviewers have said about the property is true. It’s in a great location, walking distance to all the museums and sites. The apartment is fully stocked with anything you might need. We cooked-in two nights, and everything needed for meal preparation was available. The apartment is spacious, quiet, and comfortable. No complaints.
