Our stay at Maitria Hotel Sukhumvit 18 was a mix of positives and disappointments. Unfortunately, one of the biggest issues was the constant noise coming from the machine room next to our room. We raised the concern, but sadly nothing was done to fix or mitigate it, making it very difficult to get proper rest during our stay. While not the hotel’s direct responsibility, it’s worth mentioning that there are many rats in the surrounding area at night, which can be uncomfortable for guests walking nearby after dark. Additionally, the strong and unpleasant smell from the outside strainers, including near the entrance, was quite overwhelming and detracted from the overall experience. On a positive note, huge applause for the cleaning team and some of the bell boys, they were truly the highlight of our stay. Friendly, professional, and always willing to help, they made a real difference and deserve special recognition. The breakfast was okay, but quite limited for vegetarians. The layout was also problematic, as pork dishes were mixed closely with other items, which may be uncomfortable for guests with dietary preferences or restrictions. Overall, the hotel has potential and some wonderful staff members, but the noise issues, surrounding environment, and breakfast limitations significantly affected our experience.

My favorite Hotel in Bangkok. The staff at the reception is Amazing, the security guard so friendly, the food is great, location is perfect. The pinapple cookies they give you when checking in are ufff adictive. I always come back to this Hotel.
