Banyoles is a great base for active travellers and cyclists. The centre is easy-going and walkable, and the lake is close by for a morning loop, a swim, or an evening walk.



Province (Girona)



Girona province is ideal for day trips and outdoor time, from cycling routes and hiking to medieval villages and the Costa Brava coastline.



GETTING THERE & GETTING AROUND



The closest airport is Girona (GRO), with Barcelona (BCN) also a common option for international flights.



The nearest main train station is Girona (including high-speed connections), then you can continue to Banyoles by bus or taxi.
