Charming first-floor apartment situated in the heart of town, thoughtfully restored from a physician`s office and boasting an intriguing layout. This gem features three tastefully furnished bedrooms, two with queen-sized beds, one with a full bed, and a shared bathroom equipped with a tub/shower combo.

Unwind in the delightful living room while enjoying your favorite TV show, or indulge in a good book from our collection. The space also features a well-equipped full kitchen, a vintage-chic dining room, and a private laundry facility. For those combining work and pleasure, our quaint work nook complete with a desk and chair will meet all your needs.

Delight in the unique history of our apartment, as each room harks back to its original function. The dining room was the former receptionist’s office, the bedrooms used to serve as exam rooms, and the living room was the doctor’s waiting area.

The apartment`s prime location on a serene side street offers immediate access to the town’s best bakeries, restaurants, and amenities. Everything is within convenient walking distance, including Bar Island, Hannaford`s Grocery, Cadillac Mountain Sports, Rosalie`s Pizza, Criterion Theatre, and Side Street Café.

Perfect location and cozy-loved having breakfast in the bright front dining room and the coffee bar was a great little treat! Beds were super comfy, loved having laundry available! We stayed here with our teenage daughter during our first trip to Maine. The location of this flat is perfect. We walked everywhere downtown. Fabulous location and lots of thoughtful touches

Lovingly preserved historic property with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. The home was very comfortable with good mattresses, sofas and great appliances. It was well stocked with no scrimping on anything and very straightforward guidelines. The hosts also left lots of rainy day activities for kids and terrific guidebooks for hikers. Feel like a local in Bar Harbor

My husband and I rented this cozy first floor apartment for a four night stay in Bar Harbor. While we only needed one bedroom, it would be a perfect spot for a family with children thanks to having three bedrooms. It's location was perfect - tucked onto a street right in town. You can literally walk everywhere! And they have thought of everything in terms of conveniences: back-up toiletries, coffee station, kitchen essentials, washer/dryer, games, local guidebooks, etc.

Incredible Bar Harbor stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the Physician’s Flat! It was exactly as pictured and right in the center of town, just a short drive to Acadia. The rental was very comfortable and very well decorated. It had all of the essentials, and then some. We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this definitely ranked at the top! We would absolutely recommend and would return. The area itself is amazing - we loved exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor and surrounding towns.

Fantastic Stay in Bar Harbor

We loved our stay at the Physician's Flat Condo. The location was perfect—a one-minute walk to restaurants and shops and a very easy drive to Acadia Park. The amenities in the condo made our time even more enjoyable, and the hosts left a goodie basket, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. The hosts were very communicative and responded immediately to our concerns (we had a little trouble with the lock on the front door). We will definitely go back.

Our family stayed here in August to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. This property was everything we needed and more. Just the right size and all the convenience of home. Perfect Location

The physician flat was the perfect location for walking around Bar Harbor. It was filled with all of the little things we didn’t know we needed. And the owners had suggestions for everything from where to eat to the best hiking trails to good running routes. Would definitely recommend staying here. We were there with our 4 daughters. We were so pleased with the location and all the space our family of five had at this property. Easy walk to all the Bar Harbor restaurants and attractions. The hosts were very communicative and friendly. We were a little disappointed that there’s no dishwasher in the unit, but otherwise we found it well-appointed and very clean and family-friendly. We had a great time and are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality!
