The room was clean. Some of the help was helpful. Some were rude. The bar at the pool was never opened. The pool was actually brown. It looked like it had never been used in years. We had to switch rooms because the first room. The shower backed up while my husband was taking his shower gross. It is actually in a bad part of town. We felt unsafe outside of the hotel. We had heard that it was walkable to the cruise ship pier it is not.

The breakfast was lovely, it was fresh and there were plenty of options. The hotel is modern and reasonably priced. It would be a good place to stay if you are travelling for business as there are lots of places to sit and work at your laptop. This was a conveniently located hotel for us as it was easy for buses, the Metro, or taxis. There were cafes and shops nearby to get snacks & drinks, although the hotel also has snack facilities in Reception and downstairs in the cafe-bar. The room was compact but adequate.

Hotel room was small with limited amenities and too many windows in the shower area. The area around the hotel did not feel safe in the early morning but was fine throughout the day. La Rambla was only a short walk from the hotel with plenty of Dining and Shopping options, Marina was close by as well.

The hotel was within a 15 min walk to La Rambala which was very convenient however early in the morning while going for walks there were homeless people in the general area that may be a concern for some people. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and attentive. The room we selected was quite small, however it was clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was next to the window which was a bit odd. Breakfast was available for a price.

Casa Lit is ideally located for exploring Barcelona. Walking distance to waterfront. Close to underground for visit to Sagrada Familia. Nice breakfast selection. Friendly helpful staff. Arrived early and were able to leave suitcases with hotel so we could go and explore area. Only negative from our point of view was that the sink was not in with the toilet and it was a compact room. But if it was bigger we would have had to pay more. We stayed for three nights so it suited our needs.

Very underwhelming

We chose this hotel because we wanted a swimming pool and to be close to La Rambla and the old port. However I don’t know how they can advertise this as having a swimming pool. It was barely even a child’s paddling pool. Very shallow and certainly no swimming. It was green and I am not sure anyone would want to sit in there. We attempted to eat in the hotel restaurant one night but was told the only thing they had on the menu was rice. Honestly I just think they couldn’t be bothered to cook for us. There was no kettle in the room so we couldn’t make a tea or coffee in the morning. The rooms are very small with only a curtain diving the bathroom. Not great if you’re travelling with a friend. Location wise it was a short walk to the port and La Rambla and local to 2 metro stations but it was surrounded by homeless people and we didn’t find it very safe walking back there at night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean which unfortunately was our only positive.

Excellent experience

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable room. The hotel facilities were were great. Good to have a roof top bar and good food in the restaurant. Free luggage lockers for post check out was so helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel . Good value for money.
