Great Location. Awful Hotel

From start to finish, this was a thoroughly disappointing stay. The air conditioning failed constantly, making the entire hotel (especially my room) incredibly uncomfortable in the summer heat. I booked a double room for one person, it had no window it was like a cell.I was repeatedly told, “That’s all you’re getting,” in a tone that felt both rude and dismissive. The room had visible signs of neglect: cracks in the walls, power plugs falling out of the wall in the bathroom, and worst of all, an ant infestation. When I raised these concerns, the manageress laughed at my complaints and when I calmly challenged her about the state of the room and the cleanliness issues, she stormed off mid-conversation. It was both unprofessional and shocking. The problems didn’t stop there. Staff regularly left doors open throughout the building, including the front entrance and bar area, which meant mosquitoes were constantly coming in. I was bitten several times just sitting in public spaces. The reception area was especially unpleasant — too warm, poorly ventilated, and clearly not designed for comfort. To top it off, I wasn’t the only one complaining. Throughout my stay, I overheard other guests raising the exact same concerns,poor room conditions, unbearable heat, and bad service. There was a general sense of frustration from multiple residents, which made it clear this wasn’t an isolated experience. The only real positives were the location and the breakfast staff! avoid if you can!

Great stay in great location!

Great location and everything was within walking distance or easy metro ride away. Room was spacious by European standards and the small balcony was a nice touch. Always felt safe in the area day or night and would definitely stay here again.

Great location, close to the metro station and Aerobus stop. Room was spacious and bathroom was modern. Nice balcony for a decent city view. Staff were consistently helpful and friendly to us. However, some of the furnishings in the room (like the bed covers) were a little dated. All in all, would stay again given the fantastic quality of stay.

Best assets of the hotel are its location, excellent buffet breakfast for EUR 15, overall cleanliness, generally friendly staff and good value for money. But the hotel has to work on its air-conditioning system that stays at 22 Celsius even if the thermostat is lowered to more comfortable levels. While I appreciate the rain shower bathroom, it would also be nice to have grab bars installed as the shower is slippery and the towel warmer is rusty. Suggest also that more clothes hangers be added to the cabinet.
