Hi,
Thank you for reaching out. We chose Hilton Diagonal Mar to celebrate a special occasion, and we were really looking forward to the stay. Unfortunately, a few things did not go as expected:
1. Pool Information Issue – On the Expedia listing (which is what we booked through), the pool timings were not mentioned, and we were told that the hotel team would contact us regarding alternatives. No one reached out, which caused confusion when we arrived.
2. Staff Interaction – When we explained this at check-in, the manager’s response felt quite dismissive. Instead of helping us understand options, the attitude was “what can I do?”, which was disappointing, especially on a special trip.
3. Room Maintenance – The bathroom water was not draining properly during our stay, which made things uncomfortable.
4. Post Checkout Experience – We requested access for a quick photo near the Titanic-style staircase right after checkout (we were only minutes past), but the request was refused even though the area was empty. It felt unnecessarily strict, especially given our occasion.
We chose Hilton because we expected warmth, clarity and hospitality, so it was disheartening to experience multiple issues in one stay.
I wanted to share this feedback so the team is aware, especially because it was a special occasion for us and we truly wanted it to feel memorable in a positive way.
