Decent location. Breakfast buffet was nice. I am noticeably pregnant and asked the woman at the front desk if there was anywhere I could fill my water bottle, she said "No, but you can fill your water outside from the street fountain" I did not seeing as there were birds bathing in there previously and later found out that drinking that water can make you seriously ill.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was always ready to help and the breakfast was very good. The best thing is the proximity to so many places! We walked to Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, La pedrera, we even walked to Arco del Triunfo and to Barceloneta beach! Great location and very affordable hotel. Would definitely stay again. We read reviews mentioning the area is loud and that the air conditioning is not cool enough, we didn’t experience anything like that. The rooms were very clean, plenty of towels and even had water for us.

Lack of security

So 10 minutes after entering their lobby we had a backpack stolen. Even though we knew of very high incidence of pickpockets still did not expect it from inside the hotel. Yes they did have signs saying be careful around lobby but when your trying to checkin you don’t notice. Since we both had to sign checkin we left luggage just 6 feet behind us still someone came in and switched our backpack for an empty one filled with trash. So all caught on cctv which we weren’t allowed to see also requested to speak to hotel manager but even with a 5 night stay that never happened. So seems laws in Barcelona are such that no attempt to stop theft is made. Still person at checin could have warned us not to leave bags unattended. Lobby had large windows very close to street and use of blinds to block view would have helped. Also no elevator security did not have to use key card to use it so anyone could have access to rooms. Otherwise excellent location easy walking to all the main sights and lots ofbars and restaurants within blocks. Clean decent breakfast nice roof view but odd design on corner gave us a view of a brick wall. Warning you are never safe anywhere in Barcelona but it is one of the most beautiful cities on earth.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. This review is solely based on the room itself. It’s TINY. My partner and I only had 2 carry on bags and 2 personal bags but were unable to open our bags and have any room to move around. It was extremely claustrophobic. The room was also very run down and did not look like the pictures at all. We felt so uncomfortable here that we decided to check out early and find a new hotel.

Great stay! Easy check in process, and they even had luggage lockers to store our items in while exploring the city before we could check in, which was so nice! Also, the 12pm check out time was great as we were heading for the airport and wanted to sleep in before the long haul back home.
