Quick stop in Barcelona and this place was perfect. Great aesthetic, clean and spacious room, nice bath with fluffy towels and comfortable bed. Staff was super friendly although we did not need them for much more. Had room with a view of and easily walkable to Sagrada Familia but also other local sites and restaurants.

Loved the room decor. I want the green bathroom door!!! Clean, plenty of space. Breakfast was great. I'd stay here again. Short walk to many must see attractions. Very safe. Very close to high-end shopping.

I absolutely loved my stay at Room Mate Carla in Barcelona. My first room had a balcony overlooking Carrer de Mallorca, the main street just a short, scenic 7-minute walk from Passeig de Gràcia. The room itself was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and—best of all—surprisingly quiet. It almost felt like we were the only guests in the hotel, which was such a welcome contrast to the busy, tourist-packed parts of the city. The peace and privacy, combined with the charm of the neighborhood, made me fall in love with this place. I enjoyed it so much that I booked another night after returning from Greece. However, the second stay was a bit of a letdown—this time I didn’t opt for the balcony room. The view was disappointing, the A/C was louder, and the overall vibe just wasn’t the same. Lesson learned: the balcony room is 100% worth it. One thing to note: check-in time is strict. We arrived early at 8 a.m. and even offered to pay extra to access the room for a nap, but they wouldn’t accommodate us before 3 p.m. Despite that, I’d still return in a heartbeat—just with the balcony room next time!

I had the good fortune to stay in two excellent hotels during my recent trip to Barcelona, and this was one of them. Avant garde decor, very nice, efficient staff, excellent location in a great district, well appointed room, comfortable bedding, very quiet, outstanding shower, and very nice amenities. I would have a hard choice to make between the two places I stayed on a future Barcelona stay. Both were excellent. I'd have to give a slight edge to the room layout of the other hotel, but the location of Hotel Carla is outstanding. Easy walk to major sites. Easy to grab a cab. Close to public transit (my daughter came to visit us from another part of the city by tram), great restaurants and street fairs around, lots of shopping, and even within waking distance to a 24 hour farmacia which I needed. I would definitely stay here again. This is a top notch hotel. Really enjoyed this stay.

This was the best stay I've had in a while. The room was immaculate. I arrived very early at least 5 hours before check in however the hotel had no problem holding my bags as i explored the city. When i finally checked in the room was exactly as pictured if not better. The room was so super clean. I usally get creeped out by hotel bathrooms but this one was like brand new. There was two big jugs of compliemmenty water, a safe, hair dryer, and slippers. Little things like this make a big difference. I definitely recommend the room with the balcony/terrace it was a nice addition. I would 100% stay here next time im in Barcelona.
