Not the best Sonder in the world...

Location is noisy due to both the main road and the metro below - earplugs are provided in the rooms, which is helpful but also tells you it's a major issue! The bed wasn't very comfortable either, so generally not the best night's sleep. Our a/c also wasn't working when we arrived although that got sorted easily. On the second day the hot water failed, we ended up having to have cold showers just to be able to go out and keep our evening plans. The receptionist I called was surly and didn't offer any sort of apology, although on checkout another receptionist did at least apologise for the inconvenience. I like the Sonder brand and have stayed in some of their other hotels which were great, but this one wasn't what I hoped for, definitely more 4* than 5*.

Nos encanto el lugar, la habitacion limpia y el personal muy amable y atentos! Nos prepararon la habitacion, con flores porque estabamos de luna de miel! Y todo fue excelente! Gracias por la atencion! Nos gustó tambien que se podia solicitar cualquier informacion por la app, sin tener que tener que tener contacto fisico. La ubicacion, es lo mejor de todo! Great location,front desk & horrible housekeeping

The hotel is clean, and Diego and his front desk team provided outstanding service! The location is unbeatable, offering stunning views of Passeig de Gracia especially during Christmas when the street is beautifully lit. However, the room temperature was uncomfortably hot, and the front desk informed us that the temperature is centrally managed and cannot be adjusted individually. When we opened the floor length windows for ventilation, it became noisy due to our first-floor location. Although earplugs were provided, sleeping with them for four nights was uncomfortable and ineffective against the noise. The hotel did offer to move us to a third-floor room after two nights, but unfortunately, we couldn't move as my Mom became unwell and needed rest. Additionally, on one of the four nights, the housekeeping staff appeared to have washed our used coffee mugs in the sink but didn’t clean up afterward, leaving coffee water all over the bathroom sink. We reported this to the front desk, shared pictures as requested, and thankfully the issue did not recur. Lastly, while the on-site restaurant is new, the food quality was disappointing. The hospitality from the staff and the fantastic location were the highlights of our stay, but some aspects of the experience fell short of expectations.

Good location but not 5 stars

The staff was excellent but it is not a 5 star hotel. Our first room was a small Box and extremely hot. friendly staff moved us to a much better room. Modern bathroom was the best feature. Location is excellent. The barman Danny was Excepcional and made our night very pleasant. Make sure you book a nice room otherwise not worth staying there.

This is by no stretch of imagination a 5 stars priority. The location is great and the room is spacious, but everything feel cheap, does not smell good, and the staff though are nice, not very professional. I would give it a 3 stars at best

I don’t know how this place is possibly characterized as a 5 star hotel… it had very little in common with any other five star hotel I’ve ever been to. There was mold on the sink, holes in the sheets, and a tiny space above the minifridge was meant as a closet, with nowhere else in the room to store clothes. There isn’t even a luggage rack in the room. There is no reception or security on the first floor, and they do not help with bags. The heat/AC is centralized so you have no control (no fan either) of the temperature in your room: in December it was unbearably hot in the room at night. If you bring issues to the front desk, be prepared to wait days for a solution if you’re lucky. If this place was a 3/5 star hotel I would understand these things, but marketing this as a five star hotel is laughable.

Three day couples trip to Barcelona

Our three-night stay was very pleasant. The staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, were personable and helpful, which made our stay more enjoyable overall. There were, however, a couple of problems. The air conditioning was set to Winter and could not be changed which resulted in the room being very hot and uncomfortable. We were told to turn the air conditioning off and open the window which did help. The other problem was that the room telephone was not functional. We were told it would be fixed but nothing was done. Fortunately, we did not need to use it and also could have communcated with reception via WhatsApp and the hotel app. These problems did not interfer with our enjoyment of our days in Barcelona and I would recommend this hotel both for the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff and for its position which is quite safe and not too far from the main attractions.

Excellent location, service and room

The hotel has a good location. The customer service was great and able to explain all what we needed. We got a room with terrace and it was excellent. The room was big enough and had two sinks. The restaurant started less than a week ago and has improved exponentially. Everyday better service and more variety. Special thanks to Borja in the restaurant and Genaro in the front.
